Agriculture & Industry are the main backbones of growth for modern nations and India is no
exception to this. Our nation has made substantial growth in both the fields and further fast growth
needs to be achieved in both the fields to satisfy the aspirations citizens of densely populated
nation.
Traditionally agriculture has been the main occupation in India & two-third of population is
dependent on agriculture directly or indirectly. For industrial development, agriculture plays
important role. It provides essential raw materials to many industries like cotton textiles, jute, sugar,
vegetables, oil, tinned food, Cigarettes and rubber etc.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was aware of the importance of agriculture & ordered his
administration to help the farmers with donation of seeds & tax concessions in drought
affectedareas. Further his army was warned not to touch a single plant from farmer's field. At that
time things needed rural level were manufactured locally through 'Bara Balutedar" system.
Thus"Bara Balutedar" system was functioning as "Village Industry" & villages were self reliant.
Progress in medical field resulted in population explosion. Due to population explosion village
industry was found to be inadequate and consequently urban industrial growth along with
agriculture growth became inevitable.
After independence our constitution has adopted democratic system in which welfare of every
individual citizen paramount and education is recognized as important aspect for welfare of every
individual citizen. It is well accepted that the goal of education should not only be academic learning,
but same should result in social, emotional, and ethical competencies. Social emotional skills,
knowledge, and dispositions provide the foundation for participation in a democratic process and
improved quality of life.
At the time of independence of our nation the large population was illiterate and hence very few
people were in position to participate in newly established political system. The few people who had
education took control of political parties and established their dominance in political field. Very
shortly the political parties & centre of powers became fiefdoms of these limited established
political families.
The established political families started using the public offices for their own gain instead of serving
the people. Thus the power centre became business activities for few established politician families
and for retaining the control over power centers these established politician started spending huge
amot Gradually political activities became affair which kept away the general public from political field. Consequently the purpose of democracy
came to be defeated and public at large lost faith in democratic system.
The established political parties have completely ignored the rural population and agricultural field
as they find minimal opportunity to generate ill-gotten wealth from rural area. Once the elections
are owned the elected representatives try to generate financial resources for compensating their
election expenditure and the industrialist are the only hope for generating financial resources. This
situation has resulted into nexus between established political leaderships and few cunning
industrialists. Thus entire nation has become breeding ground of corruption and downtrodden and
poor society has hardly received any benefit of democratic system. The money power is being used
rampantly for manipulating the system and same is resulting unrest in the common people & newly
educated youth who are aspiring for better life through positive changes in political scenario.
On March 18, 1956 at Agra Dr. B. R. Ambedkar said "I was hoping from educated people that after
acquiring higher education they will serve the society; but what I am seeing is that a crowd of small
and big clerks has gathered around, who are busy feeding themselves and their families.
National President of Baliraja Party Dr. Mahendra Dhawade & his associates realized that what Dr. B.
R. Ambedkar said on March 18, 1956 is even applicable to present scenario in India. In fact after
1956 India has made further progress in education but participation of educated people in political
process is dismal. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar expected that after the spread of education educated people
will participate in socio political process and work towards the upliftment of down trodden &
oppressed class of society by following the concept of "Pay Back to Society" but educated people
hardly take any initiative to participate in socio political process.
Dr. Mahendra Dhawade & his associates studied the reasons for lack of interest of educated people
in socio political activities & it was revealed that though educated young generation is ready to
participate in socio political activities with intention to eradicate large scale corruption in public life,
the established political parties are not ready to accommodate them as most of the established
political parties are in support large scale malpractices as they are beneficiary of the same. Due to
spread and progress in information technology new generation is getting access to the vast
resources of knowledge and this new generation is willing to change the present political scenario
for achieving inclusive and balanced growth and progress of nation.
In view of the above circumstances in the year 2014 Dr. Mahendra Dhawade & his associates formed
& registered Baliraja Party for providing forum to the common people, educated citizens & newly
educated generation to participate in political activities which will work for inclusive growth and
progress of all the citizens.
The object of Baliraja Party is to achieve balanced and inclusive growth through the maximum
participation of people of India and especially newly educated generation. Further party intends to
achieve all around development of nation and its citizens. Party believes that agricultural and
industrial fields are interconnected and interdependent and hence both need to be looked at equally
to achieve maximum satisfaction and all around growth of the citizens. Education, health,
employment, trade, business, manufacturing and law and order are also the areas and fields of
prime importance and party intends to bring positive changes in these fields.
