Y/n adjusts themselves on the plush, retro, booth bench. Sal sits across from them; absentmindedly swinging his feet. (They don't touch the floor as he does so, because he's tiny Hehe.)

"Hmm.. that sounds pretty good. Hey, what do you want Blue?" Y/n asked eyes peering over their menu. "Um..I don't know this looks a bit expensive." Sal mutters. "Sally I told you, whatever you want. It's yours." He looks up at his partner, a vague look in his eye. "But-"
"Nope! Not listening...it's my treat. Don't feel bad." They counter. Sal looks down, his hand subconsciously going to his neck. He always felt bad when Y/n payed for him, mainly because they loved to do it. "But you already did so much for me last night too, at least let me pay you back?" He frowned beneath his Prosthetic, feeling guilty.
Y/n sighs, letting their face fall onto their palms. "Baby, I'm not letting you pay me back for something I'm treating you too." Sal sighs again, What was the point? Y/n was stubborn, if they wanted too they would. He wasn't going to convince them not too pay, he knew this.

Though to be honest, Sal missed it. The old married couple schtick, they always did. When he looks up, Y/n is smiling at him. He smiles back, his eye soon catching the sun out the window.
There are some things no one ever tells you about Nockfell.
Sure it has it's kinks.
And a cult.
And some terrifying residents.
But the sun and moon, shine like no other there.
Y/n also noticed the sun, but they didn't really care. Besides, they had an even better sight infront of them. And what could possibly be more gorgeous than Sal? His eyes light up with an expression of wonder, and they couldn't help but think about how damn cute he looked.

Click.

Sal pushes his mask off his face, his hair tousled. His eye meets Y/n's. For a moment, barley a second, it's just pure silence. "Sal." Their eyes frantically check around, thank God they were at a booth. "Um..are you sure that's a good idea? I know how you are about others seeing your face." Sal laughs, and for a moment..Y/n forgets that someone might say something. They just enjoy the fact that they can actually see his face.
They can hear that laugh of his, unfiltered. Free.
"I'm good, I just..I just wanted to see the light clearly. It's weird to look out of something...and seeing black out of your peripheral vision."

"Well..black is kinda normal." He jokes, pointing to his glass eye. The young couple were so engrossed in their conversation and eachother, they hadn't noticed the young man who stepped up.
"Hello my name is,-" The waiters eyes visibly widened when they landed on Sal. He skips a beat, continuing as he was, although a bit flustered. "- Walter. Apologies. I mean no ill intent, Let me restart, please."
Y/n glances at Sal, who's face is tomato red, as he stumbles to strap then prosthetic back on. The Waiter, generously, adverts his eyes. Letting Sal get settled again before he speaks.

The blue boy could hear his heartbeat pumping loudly. What will he say? What will he do? The man was obviously repulsed.
....
......
Maybe repulsed is too strong of a word.
He just looked..shocked.
And then He apologized.
He apologized.

"Let's try this again, shall we? My name is Walter. I will be your waiter today. Are you ready to order?" Walter asks, a smile on his face. A genuine smile. He didn't treat him any differently..Maybe..it was ok.
A small smile tugs at Sal's lips, as he considers this. Maybe most people wouldn't alienate him. The idea was exhilarating, enough to make Sal's head swoon. He could be treated...normally.
Y/n cleared their throat, scooting a bit forward as they spoke. "Um yes, hi. I would like a waffle with whipped cream, a fruit bowl and a...an apple juice. "
Walter nodded , writing as he did so. He turns to Sal a smile on his face.
