Chapter 4

The nest day I slept in on accident. Amber stayed at my house that night so when I woke up she was taking care of Brayden for me. When I walked into the living room I half expected Lew and Xman to be sitting on the couch waiting for me like they do sometimes.. But when I got in there they weren't.

"Hey Amber." I said.

"Hey sleepy head." she replied.

"Thank you for watching Brayden for me until I woke up. I needed to sleep in."

"Your welcome." A few minutes later, she headed out. I obviously had to stay home. A few hours later there was a knock at the door. Miya went crazy barking. I went to open the door and it was Xman, not Liam and Xman, just Xman.

"Hey Heather." Xman said.

"Hey Xman, come on in." I replied.

"Ok." He walked in and he sat onto the couch, I sat beside him.

"How did you get here?"

"I walked."

"Why?"

"I need to talk to you in private."

"Oh.. what about?"

"I could see the sadness in your eyes. I know you're still depressed. And I noticed you have started wearing long sleeves again even though it is summer and it is blazing hot outside.. I know you cut again Heather."

"I-i dont... I promised Lew that I wouldn't anymore because I know how it makes him feel an I know it pisses him off. I stopped a while ago."

"Then show me your wrist."

"No.. I don't want to.."

"Don't worry, I won't tell Lew. I can keep it a secret if you actually promise to stop. I'll stay with you to keep you from cutting again. I could talk to my mom and ask her if we can get an apartment over here so it's not such a long walk."

"Ok. So maybe I do. And that would be awesome if you lived over here. because then I would have my best friend living close."

"Yea. So will you stop?"

"I'll try..."

"For Brayden and Lew.."

"For Brayden, Lew, and you. for you guys I will stop." I actually lied to him that day. I didn't stop. But no one ever found out or noticed. But I don't care if they didn't notice. It just gets me in less trouble.

Suddenly there was another knock at the door. And by now I was tearing up a bit. And I was holding Brayden.

"I'll get the door" Xman said.

"Thanks." I replied.

"Your welcome Heather." he got to the door and he opened it and he looked surprised, so I got up and went to the door.

"Hey guys... what-what's going on here?" Lew asked.

"We were just talking." I told him.

"And I'm gonna go now. It's a long walk back home. bye guys." Xman said to us.

"Bye" we said. After Xman was gone, I invited Lew into the apartment and he questioned why I was crying and why Xman was there.

"What's going on? Why was he here? And why are you crying baby?" he asked.

"We were talking, it's nothing. And I am not crying. My eyes are watering boo, it's fine. I love you." I said and I kissed his cheek.

"Love you too baby. Hey Brayden!" I let him hold Brayden. And we sat down on the couch. He ditched school to come see me. So did Xman so I don't know where the hell he's going, if he goes to school then he will be caught, if he goes home he's screwed, so either way he's screwed, also the library is closed so he can't hide out there. "So, baby, are you sure that you are fine? And that you weren't crying? I want to make it better."

"I'm fine boo. And I wasn't crying, I promise" and I kissed his cheek. Brayden makes an adorable noise and so we both look at him. He has his fingers in his mouth and he was looking at me. It was so adorable. We looked like a happy family, me and Lew all sweet together while he's holding a baby. Part of me can't wait until me and Lew have a baby of our own. The happiness was too good to be true...no was the silence since there was a chihuahua and a baby in the apartment... Wait, where is Miya??

Me and Lew went searching for Miya. We searched for an hour. First we checked outside. We had to be careful because there was a baby with us. So one of us was searching and the other was making sure Brayden stayed calm and that he didn't scream his head off and cry. He did start to cry a little bit but then I put my finger by him and he grabbed it with his hands and he put it in his mouth. We eventually did find Miya. She was on the other side of the street in a field just wandering around. Suddenly we hear a voice, we recognized it but we didn't know who it was until we turned around.

"Hey Heather," she said with a snotty attitude, "what are you too dumbasses doing out here. Shouldn't you guys be at school?" She started to laugh a bit.

"I don't have to be at school because I talked to the principal and the teachers and I told them my situation and they said I don't need to show up everyday. Wait, shouldn't you be at school?" I replied.

"I'm 'sick" she said. Then she faked a cough.

"You make me sick"

"Wait, why are you holding a baby? Wait... Did you get pregnant and have a baby with him? Is that why you don't have to show up?"

"No. I didn't. This is my aunts baby, this is my cousin. And that's my grammas dog. I'm watching them while they are in Florida. Wait... Why am I telling you anything?"

"Because I'm just that good." And with that, she walked away.

"Hey, Heather. Do you know what today is?" Lew asked me.

"No, I don't keep track of the days. What day is it?" I asked him.

"The 27th. Our 8 month anniversary. Today is August 27th. And I have a surprise for you." He told me.
