The sun is setting as i'm sitting out on Passion cliff a little outside of Los Angeles hearing Leo (one of my guys) talking to Tobias (my other guy) about the casino event that's being held here in Cali. Leo then mentions how the banks here are bigger than the ones at home that we should loot a few. "We're not bank robbers. We're drug dealers. We help our community and create businesses that are legit to cover up the illegal part of what we do." I say cutting their idea short hopping off the hood of my car getting in the drivers seat.
"It was just a suggestion." Tobias chimes in trying to sway my opinion but I give him the look telling him to stop talking.
"Okay, we'll drop it."
They both get in waiting for Pito who's grabbing us food from the taco truck down the road.
"What's taking him so long i'm starving!" Leo grumbles holding his stomach as it makes noises.
"Right here jackass." Pito throws the greasy bag at him handing me my drink.
"Are you guys ready?" I ask placing my cup in the holder revving up the engine.
They stay silent while they dig into their tacos as I take us onto the main road having the windows open enjoying the speed of the car.
"Can you slow down! I'm trying to eat my food here!" Leo yells as the wind rips throughout the car.
"I second that!" Tobias shouts.
Pito just holds on to the roof of the car smiling looking out into the scenery as it becomes blended together and darker out.
We get to the house grandpa Louie left me cutting the car off with a nauseous Leo and dirty mouth Tobias.
"You should take up race car driving." Pito jokes helping the two cry babies in the back.
When we opened the door the smell of home hits me creating a sense of nostalgia.
I haven't been to this house since I was a little girl and my parents would want to vacation here.
We stayed for three weeks just enjoying the shops, food and beaches. To them it was like our second home especially since grandpa Louie loved making new food recipes in the kitchen. My hands roam all over the sleek marble top, silver draws, old tea cups my mom used to help grandpa Louie collect.
"You should find your room and we'll pick ours after." Pito says stopping the other two from touching anything by grabbing them by their shirts.
I nod taking off upstairs finding my old room deciding to give it to Leo and Tobias and finding my parents room sitting at the edge of their bed. Cinnamon spice candles can be spotted on the dresser and in the bathroom since it was their favorite scent. My mom's jewelry was sitting out on her night stand with a picture of all of us sitting on the beach wearing these funny looking shades my dad brought as a joke. I look over seeing one of my dads favorite watches taking hold of it in my hand remembering the day he bought it. He was over the moon bragging, saying how soon we'll be well off that we'll have one just like his. I place it back down hearing Pito knock on the door lightly before entering, "The boys went to get some smokes and beer. How are you holding up?" He asks putting his own cigarette behind his ear to smoke later. "Tired actually." I gather up my bags unzipping them throwing my clothes on the bed.
"We don't have to stay here."
I look up where he's standing, confused about why he would say that when he knows what this house means to me.
"You can show yourself out of my room." I say taking my eyes off him focusing on organizing my belongings.
Meanwhile Leo and Tobias found a corner store with a few blondes hanging outside of it flirting their asses off.
"Yeah? Is it cool if we bring two more people?" Leo asks one of the blondes leaning on the brick wall.
The blonde nods giggling writing her number in his hand and address to the house party they were talking about.
"See you girls there." Tobias calls out after walking away with Leo back to the house.
Pito is standing on the front porch taking a few hits of his cigarettes scared he might've pissed me off. His eyes land on Leo and Tobias walking up happily pumped about the party.
"Don't come inside with all that fuckery. I made Aleya mad so she might snap on all of us."
Leo sighs but Tobias goes inside heading to my room knocking, "There's a party happening tonight, can we go?" I see how pumped he is and take a moment to think about it. "Where?" He air fists the air jumping in joy telling me the address.
"Tell Pito we're leaving in ten minutes."
Tobias leaves getting ready and I do the same putting myself aside for a change letting the boys have their fun for just tonight.
