Sitting across a bloody, dirty, hurt Fernando makes me smile.
It only took me a few months but those few months were worth the wait.
Chained like I was and gagged with a dirty rag is how he's presented with his nephew passed out from the days of torture he's endured beside him.
I stand turning the lights off and walking up the stairs designed to lead to my home while having the men I'm with get me a glass of whiskey.
A few minutes of sitting in the leather chair I hear Donnie wake screaming.
"Want us to toss him in the hole?"
I nod while flicking my wrist to see the time on my watch.
"Leave him in for six hours this time."
The men nod and I reach over grabbing the burner phone I use to call my alliance.
Pressing the phone to my ear, it rings until they answer.
"Been waiting for your call, how's it going with your house guests?"
I smile looking at the monitor in front of me showing the live footage of both of them struggling to stay alive like I had to.
"Still getting comfortable."
My alliance chuckles, "We should have dinner tonight."
Checking my schedule I ask for a pen while I get brought a paper to look over, "How's six?" Signing my alias name, it gets taken and handled elsewhere. "Sounds good." I get more details then hang up placing the phone on the table. I tap the sides of the chair then stand going up to my room to get ready. My men keep watch while I shower and change into a skintight dress with my hair flawlessly done and heels tighten. I spritz some perfume onto my body and walk back down to be greeted by my driver, "We have your car outside ready to go." Grabbing the keys I thank them and meet up with my alliance smiling. "You cleaned up nice," kissing his cheek he grins. "You're the only one I get this dressed up for." Hitting his shoulder he grins more wrapping his hand around my waist as we go into this casino we both have been eyeing for awhile.
"Hows security here?" I ask while we pretend to be a couple.
"Very scarce."
I look from left to right diligently trying to get a better feel for a place I'm about to take over, it being one of Fernando's businesses.
"Let's check the tables over there and then go up to the glass office upstairs."
Nodding, they take me to one of the blackjack gambling tables while pretending to place a bet while I check out everything.
With a faint signal, he nods and moves on to the next.
I make a bet and wait for my cards to be dealt to me but see a familiar face that might throw off everything.
"We have a problem," I say into my watch that's connected with my alliance's.
They look up and see my old men with Rayne as the head boss.
"Go to the office, I'll buy you some time."
Not wasting time I make my way up the spiral metal bar stairs kicking the office door open.
"Boys, we have some business to discuss."
Angry they throw out their cigars and come towards me with pocket knives and a wooden bat.
"What is this? Fight Club?"
I scoff tying my hair up and start fighting back only to make a tear in my dress.
"Really?" I holler out while heaving from fighting about four men by myself.
"Enough!"
The main guy that's been watching from behind a desk that is owned by Fernando and not him.
"Can we talk business now?" I huff out annoyed.
"Who are you?"
Wiping the blood from the corner of my mouth I say, "Someone that has your big boss locked up and can do the same to you if you're not smart enough to listen to what I have to say." Sitting, I yank a suit jacket off one of the guys and cover the rip in my dress. "If you want me to sell it, I can't," the man says serious. I crack my neck from the stiffness and look to him, "I'll give you half of what Fernando is giving you to keep this place running and then some," taking a notepad and pen I write the amount and demands. "You just have to be employed under me." The man takes a look and bites his knuckle when seeing the many zeros written. "You really can pay this amount?" I nod while pressing a button on my watch to have my alliance send up his men with the case of money I had them bring.
"You have to see it to believe it, no?"
The men barge in and slam the case onto the man's desk then stand behind me for good measures.
Opening the brief case he picks up the cash and feels the bills in his hands.
"We have a deal," ready to run off with it I stop him.
"Now if you cross me," I lean into his ear while gripping the tie on his shirt and say, "No one will know you're dead until they find your body in a river bank somewhere."
Gulping with fear he nods hastily then leaves with the case while I tell the men to carry out the men lying on the floor unconscious.
"One down...many more to go."
I smile then walk around the office only to be spotted by Rayne from down below.
My alliance catches him ready to sprint to the top, having his men stop him.
"You can't go up there sir," they try and hold him back but he surpasses them and swings the door violently open.
"Aleya," Rayne says almost breathy and in shock.
Cursing under my breath I turn slowly and he just scoops me up in his arms, holding me tight against him wanting to make sure he wasn't making things up inside his head.
I had to think of something and push him off me, "I'm not Aleya, who let you up here?
Knowing it's me for a fact he holds my face getting up close and personal, "The guys have been a mess without you," Already seeing him in charge of them, shows me Pito has given up and let Rayne take the reigns making me feel more guilty than I already do for leaving them but I had to make Fernando suffer...I had to make him live how he made me live in those ten months he tortured me. It was just the tip of the iceberg but I knew taking everything he's ever built and had, was also another death I want him to experience since he try to do it to me and my family.
