We all look to each other grabbing hold of our hand guns knowing we never gave anyone our location let alone where we would be living. Pito goes over to the blinds peeking to the side seeing a man with a cigar in his mouth. "Aleya come take a look." Pito says turning back to me. I get up still holding my gun moving Pito out the way to see who it is. My jaw clenched knowing the man standing on my doorstep was Fernando Ortiz himself. "Leo, Tobias, go in the kitchen and keep your eyes on this door." I turn to Pito, "You sit in that chair right there and keep that ready until I say to put it away." I motion towards his gun with mine opening the door placing the weapon in my waistband. The devil smiled opening his arms gesturing for a hug but I turned it down folding my arms keeping the door open so he could see I wasn't alone.

"You grew up gorgeously." He puffs out letting smoke from his cigar escape his mouth.

"How did you get this address."

He shrugs reaching for something in his back pocket but stops when Pito and the boys aim their guns directly at him.

"Woah, fellas take it down a notch will you? I was just grabbing a piece of documentation for your boss here, that's all."

He unfolds the orange folder taking out an indented paper with information on it that you can only get court ordered.

"I have some buddies that pulled a few strings so I can make a trip up here to talk some business with you."

I snatch the paper reading it for myself seeing every last bit of detail of my childhood life, even the address of grandpa Louie's house.

"What made you think getting my personnel and showing up uninvited would make me want to do business with you?"

Fernando laughs putting on the biggest smile pointing his cigar towards me as he says, "For a twenty-one year old you're very smart you know that?" Still waiting for a straight answer I place my hand on my gun waiting to whip it out and use it on him. "Look, back on the island you were the top dog i'll give you that. You brought in more money than the island could have ever handled and got into some trouble with the law, but what if I said I can come here and help you regain what you lost?" I scoff then say, "I'm not looking for a business partner. Especially one who murdered my parents for his own greedy pleasure. So if we're done with this conversation I would like to pretend you didn't try to buy my forgiveness." Fernando drops his smile now twisting his silver ring on his pinkie finger getting ready to bring something else up, "You think this type of life has a place for a person like you? No, it only has people with real balls between their legs." Pito and the boys stand hearing the disrespect but I signal them to stay where they are with my hand still looking at Fernando.

"Okay, want to do business? Give me thirty-thousand dollars as an entry fee, another ten for assets that you're going to be in charge of. Any questions?" I poke my ear out to hear his response but he just mumbles something under his breath. "Yeah, exactly." I now pull out my gun and point it right at him placing my finger on the trigger. "You show up here again and it'll be your men picking off your brain off the walls." Fernando nods backing away saying, "I try to do things civil, guess i'm just going to have to massacre you and your business like I did your parents." I let off a bullet sending it straight to his kneecap watching him fall over in pain, his eyes land on me as blood seeps through his khaki suit pants and he grits his teeth to stop him from screaming.

"This was a nice house warming present. I'll be sure to finish it off soon."

I slam the door hearing one of his men help him up taking him to the car racing off to get him seen by a doctor.

I put my gun away and so do the guys looking to me concerned.

"He's the man who shot and killed your parents when you were twelve?"

Leo asks but Pito glares in his direction warning him to keep his mouth shut knowing this topic was confidential and known for me not to talk about it with anyone.

"Let's just call it a night."

I head upstairs to my room leaving them alone wanting to calm my rage that's been bubbling inside since I opened the front door. Once I walked into the room my parents picture was staring right at me...taunting me. I shove it off the nightstand having it break shattering onto the floor. I shut my eyes counting backwards to stop tears from forming until I reached one and re-opened my eyes feeling a sense of control of my emotions. The more I sat there dwelling in my hurt and pain the more I wanted to go back out there down those stairs straight to Fernando to kill him like he did my parents.

But I started to process an even better plan one that will cure this poison I have inside of me...revenge.
