The monitors go off and nurses rush back and forth as the blood keeps surfacing even with all the gauzes soaking it up. The doctor takes a risk and starts a blood diffusion method and starts transferring the blood into my system. Once things got stable and I had enough blood in me to close up the cut, they stitched it up and put me in a room to watch my condition. Kang, getting patched up from the needle being stuck into his vein filling up a few bags of blood, quickly finds what room they put me in and sits besides the bed where I lie unconscious. The doctor informs the guys I made it out and into a room but that I'm asleep and to come back later. Rayne, being stubborn as a bull, stays while the rest go get some food and things I might need when I wake.

A nurse approaches him with coffee seeing how he hasn't moved not once to eat, sleep or get any fresh air. Taking it out of generosity, he takes a few sips then leaves the rest in the seat next to him. Time ticks by slower it seems since the doctor keeps saying it'll be a while maybe longer for me to wake up. Kang, not wanting to stay still, starts running a muck inside the hospital, having everyone on their toes. Finally after a few hours I awakened with little to no memory of what happened and only felt the shard being pushed into me as if it's all happening again. Looking around I see Kang stressed in the hospital chair next to me. "Wh-What happened?" I shakily say while feeling the pain still.

"Aleya," Kang gets closer and holds my hand while standing kissing the top of my head while saying,"I took care of it. You don't have to suffer anymore." Just hearing that my throat swells with heavy and choked up cries that fill the room, coming straight from my own mouth. Rayne barges in and takes me into his arms disregarding that Kang was already there. He held my head to his chest as I kept crying and Kang had no other choice but to watch. "Who let you in," Kang asks Rayne with his jaw clenched in jealousy. "Maybe get stronger men, then I wouldn't have taken most of them out." Not caring about what was being said I held onto Rayne but realized he wasn't the one I should be clinging onto. Slowly moving away, I look to Rayne with tears falling down my pale face then to Kang.

Was it wrong for me to suddenly cling to Kang and have him hold me while Rayne was there? Maybe. But did it feel good to see Rayne display a sense of territorialism towards me? Yes.

Kang has Rayne removed from the room and holds my face relieved that I'm awake wiping the tear marks left on my cheeks. "How's the pain?" I look down at where the wrap is and wince. "Hurts like a bitch honestly." Moving to grab some water for me to drink I see small blood stains on the bottom of his shirt. "Kang," I tug on his sleeve and he turns to me. "Thank you..." With doed eyes I lean up and kiss him out of appreciation. "I'll do anything for you Aleya..." undying loyalty and infatuation washes over the both of us and me embracing it instead of running, signals complete and utter danger.

"I don't like hospitals," I yank the IV out my arm and try to get up from the bed but Kang sits me back down.

"You just had surgery and a blood diffusion. There is no leaving the hospital right now."

Feeling a kid who just got told to go sit in the corner, I sit and fix the blanket to how it was.

"I'll get a nurse to get you a new one," he says, talking about the IV I pulled out.

Getting sleepy I just nod and lean back having my head planted in the hospital pillow.

Hours go by and the slightest noise I heard to wake me up was the nurse coming into the room checking my vitals.

"Sorry...I'll just be a minute."

Adjusting the IV in my arm I look at her and she gives me a faint smile.

Kang walks in from being outside talking with his men and sits next to me.

"Can't I just get treated back at the house?" I say low.

Realizing how uncomfortable I was he gets me discharged and gets an in-house doctor and nurse to monitor me around the clock.

It's like that for a while until I'm fully recovered and able to move around without worrying about opening my wound.

A round table is set in the middle of a room with a man in a suit sitting with a briefcase to the side of him, three other men are sitting at the table with their hands folded on top of the marble like surface. As the one in the suit picks up the case the men look closely watching his every move. When the case opens with a click sound, they lean in closer. "Is that what I think it is?" One man asks, almost amazed by what's inside. "It's our next move to get things rolling," taking it out the case they grumble with concerns. "How do we know this will take care of our problem?" The man spreads it across the table and the other men nod in agreement. "This will surely stir the pot." Talking among themselves, a younger, well dressed, mysterious man enters the room unbuttoning his designer coat. "Who is the target?" Grabbing a chair they sit in the center seeing what's laid out, picking it up with ease.

"We tried getting her and her family for years but she was presumed dead, but we just got word Fernando Ortiz was found dead with the same angel trumpet laid with his nephew."

The man in the suit says laying out my picture with the rest of my men.

"Aleya Rojas? Why are we chasing after a ghost then if she's already dead?"

The three other men talk over each other while trying to explain but the younger man stops them, "So she's alive and in hiding?" Looking at my picture he caresses it like he's already familiar with me. "Our last informant gave us word that the Lee family has her under their protection and will do anything to keep her out of hindsight." The young man nods, leaning back, tossing the picture on the table. "So what do we want with her exactly? What's our plan?" The man in the suit leans forward and says, "There's word they need extra hands on keeping watch on her since Mr. Lee's son, Kang, turned his back on his father out of loyalty to Aleya." Curiosity gets the best of the young man as he asks, "So I'm going into the lion's den? Undercover? To get what?" One of the three men slides him a flashdrive, "Proof." The young man takes hold of it examining the drive then placing it in his pocket getting up, "I'm guessing everything is ready for me?" The man with the suit walks over handing him what he needs, "Don't screw this up." The young man pats the man's back, smirking, then walks out leaving with a straight face only having a different agenda than they do. He was going to get to me all right, but the plan to avenge his family that Kang's father had killed in front of him using me as the ultimate power move.
