《17》Stars

Luna lived with her grandfather for nearly two years, when he suddenly died of an heart attack. That was a week before she came to Ella. The girls were so happy to see each other again, but not under these circumstances.

The death of her grandfather hit her hard. Luna loved her grandfather dearly but she was was happy that she could stand through that with Elli.

They couln't be together for long because the youth welfare office decided that Luna had to go to a uncle of hers. She didn't wanted to leave but had to. Letty said they could take Luna but the woman who have to take care of Luna said that wouldn't be a good idea. She didn't liked Letty and Ella.

So it was the last night from the kids and they laid on Ellas roof because when she climb out of her window there is a flat roof where she often lays on. Right now she was laying there with Luna. They just staring at the stars in silence when Luna start to talk. ,,How can I do that?"

,,Do what?", Ella asked curious, but still lokking at the sky.

,,Move without my grandpa or you. We've been separated for... like forever and now I have to go again to someone I don't even know."

,,I can call you everyday"

,,It's not the same", she cried. ,,I miss my grandfather".

Ella turned a bit to look at Luna. The tears fell from her friends face like a little waterfall. ,,What is the most beautiful star for you?"

,,What?", Luna turned her face to the girl and looked at her confused.

,,What is the most beautiful star for you?", She reapeted. Luna looked back at the stars and pointed to a little, but bright star in the horizon. The star belonged to the constellation of the little dippers. ,,I imagine that everyone I lost is that star, because you reconize them. Thats mine", Ella pointed to a bright star. That was Jupiter. ,,There is everyone I lost. My uncle Jesse, my grandfather and my father."

Luna turned to the girl again. ,,But your father isn't dead", she said, while she slightly stopped crying.

,,It is easier. I rather imagine that he died while realising that he have to stay with us, then facing that he left us, without looking back". A little tear came down her cheek, that she quickly wished away.

Luna looked back at the stars. ,,You think they can see us?".

,,Of course, they look after us and watch us live and learn and when something really bad is going to happen, they go to God and ask them to save us. They are our guardian angel."

What the girls didn't knew was that Letty stood in Ellis room and heard the whole conversation. It hurted her to hear her daughter say what she thought about her father and it showed her only more that she have to find him. She had to bring him back.

,,Do you wanna get a blanket to sleep out here?", Elli asked after some minutes of silence. Luna nodded to that and they got inside to get some blankets. Letty left to that time again.

The last night was peaceful. They talked until might night. In the morning Luna will get to an uncle of hers and they won't see each other in a long time. The kids knew it, so they enjoyed every second of the time.

Eight years and Ella have to deal with all this shit without a friend again and in two years she will lose someone again =( I dont want this to end.
