GRAHAM: Without Billy, well, it just crumbled.

VIENNA: I mean, we couldn't do a lot our frontman was in rehab.

GRAHAM: we didn't really understand addiction back then. I thought he'd just dry out and things would go back to how they used to be.

VIENNA: yeah, no.

EDDIE: the label dropped us a week after the label was cancelled,

WARREN: they made us pay back our advance and everything.

GRAHAM: i kept us practising, as much as i could and got a job at a body shop.

WARREN: Yeah, i was working down at Malibu harbour. cleaning boats, which i loved. and, uh, doing a lot of mushrooms. Which i also loved.

VIENNA: [sigh] and i was back to waitressing. which i was thrilled about.

EDDIE: we were basically back where we started, worse even.

VIENNA: we'd gone fuuull circle.

INTERVIEWER: Are you still upset about that?

VIENNA: No. I mean, I don't think back then we really understood the weight of addiction. Maybe if we did, things would've turned out a lot different.

EDDIE: me? nah. I mean holding onto that shit will be the death of you. But he really fucked us over.

VIENNA: I mean, i'd upped and left my family. I mean we all had, but i still hadn't spoken to my mother. Id ruined my relationship with her. I had a point to prove, this had to work y'know and at that point it felt like it was for nothing. I mean we had it, but it slipped through our fingers and I was back to waiting tables. I was upset, really but all negative feelings about the tour disappeared when i saw him step out of that car. He looked... well, I guess it just put it into perspective for me.

"Who the fuck do you think you are, man?" Eddie spoke in that tone she could never take seriously. She had to bite back a laugh, it probably wouldn't be helpful. She was pissed, she had to be serious.

"yeah, billy we kinda need you," Vienna shrugged, shuffling uncomfortably on the couch,

"look everybody, just calm down okay?" Graham spoke, trying to ease the situation.

"oh for fuck sakes, i cant be the only one who's pissed here," Eddie went on, waving his arms.

"I don't know what you want me to say," billy marched eddies tone, "you guys don't even need me. you have the song, you have the fanbase i mean i'm sure if you-"

"Billy!" Eddie cut him off, "If you're going. go."

"It's not just about the songs, bill" vienna muttered as he turned his back. She sighed, letting her head fall into her hands frustratedly.

"So now what do we do?" Warren asked,

"go fuck ourselves, i guess" Vienna shrugged, pinching the cigarette from Eddies fingers to bring to her own lips.

KAREN: I mean bands fall apart y'know that's rock n roll. I just thought... this one was different.

VIENNA: we'd gone to this party, with the goal of scouting out the new Billy Dunne.

GRAHAM: For me, it was all about moving forward.

KAREN: people like billy didn't exactly grow on trees.

VIENNA: yeah, that goal changed very quickly. The new goal was to get as drunk as possible.

"What are you still gonna be called the six? I mean, there's five of you now?" This one guy spoke, he'd told Vienna his name almost two drinks ago, she couldn't remember. It was between Craig or Jeremy, she was certain.
