BILLY: i really wanted to get back into the studio right away, cut a new album, turn the page y'know? but that song wouldn't quit.

VIENNA: i would never get bored of hearing myself on the radio. It'd make me all loopy hearing it in the diner, you wouldn't believe how many plates I broke.

GRAHAM: We got asked to join the bill at the diamond head festival , in Hawaii. It was our first show since um... well.

"Steve miller band, the dead?" Warren read aloud form the small pamphlets. "shit these guys are all here?"

"you're fucking lying," Vienna spoke, standing and grabbing the piece of paper to see for herself, she scoffed softly when she saw the names, grinning. "shit," she breathed in disbelief. She handed the paper back to warren before stumbling back into her seat.

"where are we?" Eddie asked, leaning over the back of warrens seat. Vienna eyed him, cautiously. Things had been weird since that night in the kitchen. She wasn't actively ignoring him, though she wasn't exactly acting normal either. Though, distancing herself from him also meant distancing herself from the band. She hoped nobody had noticed, she was sure they hadn't but if they happened to ask why she was being strange, she'd brush it off as tiredness.

KAREN: Of course I bloody noticed.

"right there, brother." Warren beamed, pointing towards the bottom of the lineup. He laughed.  The band whooped, ecstatic. Vienna grabbed Warrens arm, shaking him as they celebrated.

The drive up had been excruciating. So many hours cramped in a tiny van with the people she spent probably, too much time with anyway.  She was tired to the point where she didn't even feel tired anymore, she was just bored. He'd body felt heavy and she was sweating in places she didn't know could sweat. Not to mention, she had Warren sat next to her.  There were only so many  times you could listen to the story of his new coat,  before it grew tedious. She cringed every time Eddie spoke, her stomach twisting knots every time she caught him looking at her. His big brown eyes, full with so many questions, it was clear he was aware of the attempted 'avoiding'.

VIENNA: Unsurprisingly,  hard to avoid someone when you, y'know. live , work and carpool with them.

EDDIE: we were on at one in the afternoon. But, hey. at least we were invited.

WARREN: we pulled up and it was insane y'know, so many cars, so many people. Our days in good ol' McNastys, were nothing compared to this.

"Is she coming?" Vienna asked, swirling the liquid in the glass. "did you even ask her?"

"i don't see why we need her, i mean, she did one song. She's not" Billy flailed his hands around, "part of this,"

Vienna rolled her eyes, "No of course she's not," She huffed, "It's not like she- i don't know, is the reason people even know who we are in the first place,"

"what? just- not now, Vienna." He dismissed her walking away, she shook her head. "alright, huddle up everybody" he called everyone over. She followed in his step. "alright who we playing for?" he asked.

VIENNA: he was always doing that just waving me off like i was a mosquito or something. It made me feel so little.

Viennas eyes trailed off, she smiled. She slipped out of the huddle, laughing softly as she moved to greet the redhead in a warm hug. Daisy smiled,  eyes falling shut as she willingly returned the hug. "I knew you'd turn up," she beamed, pulling away.  "you're like the star in our back pocket, mostly mine. I knew you first." Daisy laughed.

KAREN: Of course it wasn't just us they wanted on the bill.

"Okay, Pittsburgh on-" Billy started, though he was quickly interrupted by Vienna.
