"Rain...babe...,"

Rain thought someone was calling his name. It sounded really distant but it was the one voice he will never fail to recognize. P'Payu's voice. When Rain came to realization, he was already floating in a void of darkness.

"Rain...wake up soon..,"

Rain swam around the darkness trying to determine which directionless direction he heard P'Payu's from. Until he spot a tiny dot of shine. Like a very small star, with its tiny speck of shine. Rain effortless swam towards the tiny dot. The tiny dot doesn't seem to be bigger but the more he swam the more sure he got.

"Rain...babe, I love you..,"

That's where P'Payu's voice's from. Rain continue swimming towards the dot. Soon he felt a pull like a vortex, sucking him through. Weirdly, Rain did not resist nor was he afraid.

"Mama...,"

"Mama...,"

Rain looked back to the darkness since he thought he heard voices calling out mama. Eventually he was enveloped by a flash of brightness.

Rain's eyes fluttered tiredly as his body started to wake. His hand reflexes and twitches woke Payu who sat beside Rain by the bed and taking a nap waiting for Rain to wake. It's been a couple of hours. Payu smiled as he edged nearer to Rain so the first thing his soulmate see would be him. Payu gave Rain's hand a little squeeze to signal he is there for him.

"Rain...babe...how are you feeling?" Rain's vision stabilized from all the blurriness and smiled when the first person he did indeed see was his beloved P'Payu.

"P'Payu...what? Where...am I?" Rain whispered, his fatigue still apparent. Payu caressed Rain's face and stopped Rain when he tried to get up. "Baby, don't force yourself to wake up if you are still tired, take it slow. Do you want water?"

Rain stopped his movements and nodded. His body indeed still felt heavy. He slowly sipped from the straw of the bottle of water Payu offered. "Much better?" Rain nodded. Now Rain noticed he was in a private ward room with P'Payu. Rain couldn't recall a single thing after the doctor gave him a medicine shot.

"P'Payu....what am I doing in a ward? Is something wrong...with me...?" P'Payu smiled as he held Rain's hand and squeezed again.

"Babe, nothing is wrong with you. The doctor's just keeping you here for you to rest until you are well enough to go home, so we can take our time. Don't worry," Rain nodded. He was glad to see P'Payu again. Suddenly his stomach growled again.

"P'Payu...I'm hungry I think...," Payu chuckled and caressed Rain stomach. Rain watched curiously as P'Payu stopped and placed his head on his stomach too. His stomach growled again.

"P'Payu, why are you listening to my stomach growl?" Payu looked up and smiled.

"Why don't you wait here for a bit while I go get you some warm food? How about chicken soup with pasta bits?" Rain nodded as his stomach growled again. Wow, was he that hungry?

It wasn't long before Payu came back with a tray of food for Rain. Rain's mouth watered when he saw the bowl of hot soup and wasn't too careful with his first scoop. He winced in pain from drinking the soup too fast while it's still hot.

"Rain, slow down babe," Payu shook his head watching Rain who didn't seem all too bothered. All that mattered was filling his stomach. Rain drank the last drop of the soup and put the bowl down with a great sense of satisfaction.
