It was late in the afternoon and I was tending to the Royal Garden, like I always do, when I heard giggling coming up from behind me.

"Hey, y/n come here, We must tell you what we overheard the Royal family telling the indoor staff!" I turned around and saw a girl, with long red hair, green eyes, and freckles, speaking to me very eagerly.
"Yeah, you won't believe it!" This time a girl, with grey eyes and long blonde hair, pulled up in a low ponytail, spoke.
"Really? What did you two overhear them say?" I asked, with a smile on my face strolling over to the pair, of pale female girls.
"They were talking about how they are going to throw a ball at the end of this week, that everyone in the kingdom will be invited to." The red-haired girl squealed while jumping up and down on her heels.
"I can already picture meeting my very own, perfect, prince charming and him asking for my hand in marriage-" the blonde started going into her little fantasy while putting her hands on her red face. "But we have to make sure that the palace looks perfect." The red-haired female said, ripping the blonde out of her romantic fantasy.
"Oh," I said quietly while casting my view to the floor. "Well, then we should get back to tending to the garden."
"What's wrong y/n?" The redhead spoke after she put a reassuring hand on my shoulder.
"Well, I don't own any fancy dresses, accessories, or makeup, and no guy in their right mind will want to go with me," I said looking at my belly ashamed. "I mean look at me."
"Hey, don't be ashamed we can go shopping together, this afternoon or tomorrow morning." The blonde said as she put her hand on my back.
"And I can try to get-" the red-haired girl started "WHY ARE YOU SO SCARED! IT'S JUST A SNAKE!" A deep male voice yelled, cutting the red-haired girl off from finishing the rest of her sentence.
"B..b.b.but it hissed at m..m.me." A higher pitch male voice said, sounding like he was going to cry.
We all looked at each other in confusion for a minute until we started walking to the exit of the garden, to see what was going on with the two males and the snake.
"What is going on over here?" The red-haired girl said while walking over to the two knights.
"I'm so sorry y/n, Charlotte, and Eleanor but that snake, right over there, in the bushes, hissed at me," He sniffed, while pointing to a baby rat snake with tears about to spill from his brown watery eyes. "and now Ethan is yelling at me."
