When I woke up Ethan was already out of bed and gone.

It was like he wasn't even here.

I got out of bed and got ready for the day.

When I was done getting ready I went downstairs and was hit with the smell of breakfast

"Ethan, did you make this for me?" I asked as I saw him putting plates in the sink.

"Yes," he said while turning and putting the plates away. "I also made the girls breakfast but they are outside playing."

"How long was I asleep for?" I asked dumbfounded.

"Not long," he responded while walking to the table to sit down. "The girls woke me up because they were hungry."

"Oh," I said while sitting at the dining table. "I'm sorry to hear that."

"Why do you say that?" He asked as he looked at me with a confused expression.

"Because I know how they are with how early they get up," I said before taking a bite of the breakfast that Ethan made. "This is so good Ethan!"

"Thank you, baby," he said as he got up to sit by me. "I'm glad you like it."

"So where are the girls?" I asked as I stuffed my face.

"I dropped them off at my sister's house not too long ago," he said while looking out the window. "After I dropped them off I came back and started making your breakfast."

"So what are you going to do now?" I asked as I finished eating my breakfast.

"I'm going to go to town and get what I need to build the girls a new bed and furniture for their room," he said while getting up and taking my plate to the sink. "I'll be back later, can you please clean out the girl's room so I don't have to worry about doing it later?"

"Yeah," I said as I got up from the table. "I can do that."

"Thanks," he said as he put the dishes away. "That helps a lot."
