Chapter 11: Saved!

"Who are you?" I asked while looking at the person who just saved my life.

"I'm Ashton," he said while locking up the wolf with the same orange light that I saw earlier. "What are you doing out here at night it's dangerous?"

"It's night?" I asked shocked.

"Yes," he said while looking at all of us. "Where are you girls heading?"

"Shimmer port," I said in a sad tone while looking down. "We wanted to get there before nighttime."

"Why?" he said while looking at me.

"I'm trying to escape an abusive ex," I said while rubbing my arm. "I didn't have a place to go so I decided to run away to Shimmer Port."

"Oh, I see," he said while looking at me in pity. "There might be a homeless shelter in Shimmer Port that will take you in."

"Why are you helping a stranger?" Sparrow asked him in shock.

"Because I feel bad for you," he said while turning around. "And I don't want you to feel like you don't have anywhere to go."

"Oh..." I was too stunned to speak since I wasn't expecting that.

"Let's go," he said while starting to walk in the direction that he came from. "I'll take you girls to Shimmer Port."

"Okay!" Emerald, Sparrow, and I said in unison.

Meanwhile with Ethan
ETHAN POV

I was walking with Oliver to the shop to get all the posters of the person that I love.

"So where do you want to go first?" I asked while walking into the store.

"I'm not sure," he said while walking inside. "Whatever is closer."

"Okay," I said while following him in. "How much were you able to get done?"

"I was able to get two big villages worth done," the shopkeeper said as we walked over to him. "But I still don't know how much you need."

"We needed five villages done but since you already got two done we just need three more," I said while taking half of the stack of posters. "We'll be back again soon."

"....save me...." I heard Oliver whisper to the shopkeeper.

"Come on Oliver!" I said as I pulled him along so we could hurry and find y/n.

"But I don't want to," he whined as I pulled him out of the shop. "it's too early!"

"No it's not Oliver," I sighed as we walked to the palace to get a carriage and head to MoodWood. "MoodWood is not that big and nearby."

"But I'm still so tired," he said as we waited for a carriage. "I was up most of the night doing paperwork."

"What kind of paperwork?" I asked while looking at him.

"Stuff for when my father dies," he said while looking off in the distance. "And marriage stuff."

After he said that a carriage pulled up.

"Who are you going to marry?" I asked as I opened the door for him.

"A princess from the Tavell Empire," he said while he climbed in the carriage and sat down. "It's a contract for peace."

"That has to suck," I said as I climbed in behind him and sat down beside him. "Can you take us to MoodWood?"

The driver nodded and we headed off to MoonWood.

"Do you think that you will ever love her?" I asked after a few minutes of silence.

"Probably once I get to know her," Oliver said after thinking about it for a few seconds. "I heard that she has never been in a relationship with anyone."
