John and Neytiri walked back to the village hand-in-hand. When they got back home, they noticed that everyone was gathered around in one place.
John raised an eyebrow as they walked up to the human base to see what was going on. When they got there, John froze in his place while Neytiri put her hand over her mouth.
There, Heather was lying lifeless on the ground. Her stomach was covered in blood. John rushed over to her to check her pulse, looking for one but finding none.
John began performing CPR while attempting to save her. She wasn't, however, waking up. He started crying, as Neytiri shook his arms as she hugged him and comforted her mate.
"She is gone, ma John." Neytiri told him as he breaks down in tears. He looked around at all of the people before deciding to ask a question." Who did this?" John asked, getting up from the ground.
"Who did this!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, but everyone remain quiet as someone stepped up." It was Reed." Someone told him and John looked at him.
"Why would he do this?" John asked, walking up to him." We don't know, but we did catch it on recording." The man said before playing the clip.
FLASHBACK
"Reed, what is wrong with you?" Heather asked as Reed came back into the building pissed off." There is only a matter of time before John betrays us all." Reed said as Heather just looked at him.
"What the hell are you talking about?" She asked and he was around the room looking for something." I saw him, I saw him with that forest freak. They were screwing in the woods." He told her and her eyes widened.
"You mean they were mating?" She asked as Reed continue looking around in the room for something." whatever it's called. it's only a matter of time before that bitch convinced him to do some thing for her, she might convince him to betray us." Reed said before finding a small gun.
