Lila Harrington woke up on time, which she found out is what happens when you actually set your alarm. Waking up in a cheerful mood, Lila sorted herself out before making her way downstairs to the kitchen where Mrs. Harrington was grabbing her work bag, heading towards the front door but not before saying bye to her daughter as she came into the kitchen, "bye mum." Lila said softly, as she heared the front door close.
Sitting in the kitchen quietly while each eating her bowl of cereal, the only sound being the spoon clinking against the bowl, Steve broke the silence as he entered the kitchen by calling out for his sister. "Lila?"
"Can we not. Not right now." Lila says, placing her bowl in the sink, washing it up. "Later?" She adds before walking out of the kitchen, leaving Steve standing.
The sound of a car horn indicated that Stella was finally here. Lila grabbed her bag and slinged it over her shoulders, touching up her hair one last time before heading downstairs snd putting her shoes on before opening the front door, locking it behind her.
"Oh my God!" Stella says. "Lila Harrington is completely on time for once."
"Yeah alright." Lila says getting in the car.
"I'm just surprised, this rarely happens and when it does oh my God, it's like a miracle."
"Shut up."
"Never."
"I talked to Eddie and I nearly-" Lila speaks before getting stopped by Stella.
"Excuse me?" Stella questioned with a shocked expression.
"If you'd let me finish I was going to get to how I ended up talking to him." Lila says giving her an unimpressed look.
"Sorry." Stella chuckles quietly, "As you were saying?"
"Nearly had the conversation with Steve about the party, after I'd been giving him the cold shoulder since but I stopped him because I didn't want to hear it."
"Okay but why?"
"I don't know."
"You've been saying that a lot lately." Stella says after noticing it quite frequently.
"Yeah and I don't have an answer for why." Lila says softly. "Anyway, later after dinner- oh that girl, yeah don't know who she is or what's going on, but she was gone by time it was dinner so."
"Drama." Stella said, grinning.
"After we'd cleared away, as I was about to go upstairs. Steve stopped me and tried to talk but I wasn't having it so I snapped and then I ran upstairs."
"Are you ever going to talk to him about it?"
"Obviously I will. My head was pounding, felt like it was going to explode so I decided I needed to get out of the house away from him and I knew where to go. A place I used to go there all time until I stopped. However as I was walking down the stairs I heard Steve and mum talking about it all and I just left."
"Oh?"
"Yeah. Drove to the spot that I used to spend all my time with Eddie and I well, sort of guessed he'd be there because-"
"Because he used to be there all the time?"
"At that exact time. We always said we'd met at that time and I wondered if he still went there even after I stopped talking to him."
"And that's how you talked to him?" Stella finishes, as she turned to glance quickly at Lila who just sat and looked out the window.
"Yeah." Was all Lila could say.
