After everything that happened yesterday, everyone had dozed off into a slumber down in the Wheelers basement. Everyone was still asleep this morning apart from Lila who snuck out quietly, and was currently on her way to see Eddie Munson. On the drive she thought about what if it had ended differently, what if she lost Max. She couldn't live without the red haired, Max was like a younger sister to her, someone she loved and cared for deeply.
Eddie was currently standing by the window, peering through the thin blinds as he talked to Nancy on the walkie, all while eating whatever he could find in the cupboard. Stopping mid sentence he spotted Lila walking up towards the house. "What the fuck" Eddie muttered quietly.
"Nancy? Nancy? Is anyone there?" Eddie said, repeatedly through thw walkie. "Hello?"
"Yes Eddie." Nancy answered, as she looked around the basement and spotting a familiar red haired had disappeared.
"I know I shouldn't but could you pick me up a six pack? Now I know that sounds stupid right now but I think it'll help with calming the nerves-"
"Hey, I'm gonna have to call back." Nancy said from the other end, hanging up.
No, don't you dare- Wheeler? Wheeler? Fuck sake" Eddie said.
"Already got you some." Lila said, which caused Eddie to drop the small pan at the sound of her voice.
"Jesus Lila! Do not do that."
"Oh come on, Munson you most definitely saw me from the window. Don't act like I made you jump." Lila says, leaning against the kitchen countertop.
"And what are you doing here?" Eddie asks, picking up the small pan.
"Came to see you, dumbass. Thought you could use some company-"
"Do the others know you're here?" Eddie questions as he approaches the girl.
"Nope, after what happened yesterday we all-"
"What happened yesterday?" Eddie questions.
"Vecna got to Max."
"What! Is she okay? Is she alive?"
"Yes, she's fine thank god." Lila reassured. "But he was like this close." She said gesturing with her thumb and index finger.
"That's good."
"Well luck I'll we were able to get her back, all thanks to what Robin and Nancy got from Victor Creel at Pennhurst Asylum." Lila explained.
"Victor Creel?"
"It's a long story but we found out how the man survived, compared to his wife and children-"
"What?"
"Eddie! Let me finish. Some song was playing, I- I don't actually remember what they said, but I heard the word music clearly, Dustin worked out music, a favourite song." Lila informed
"A favourite song?" Eddie asked.
"Yes! Anyway I gathered you were bored and alone and in need of more food, but really I needed to leave the house, I needed to see you. I thought I'd lost Max, I thought I was going to lose her" Lila said, sighing.
"But you didn't."
"Not yet I haven't, but he'll come again. Just like he did with Chrissy- shit!" Lila says.
"What? What Lila?"
"The funeral! Shit, Eddie I have to go, I have to-"
"Lila!"
"The minute it's over, I'll come back, alright. With everything that's been happening, I completely forgot." Lila says, rushing out of the house, leaving Eddie standing all alone in the house again.
