Lila Harrington had slept in till twelve, only to awake suddenly when she realized Eddie Munson was supposed to be over and she wasn't even up and ready or even out of bed. Lila would've slept in more but her plans had her up and rushing around as she remembered telling Munson to come over in the afternoon.
"She's finally awake." Mrs. Harrington says as she watches, Lila run down the stairs in a very rushed manner.
"Yep" Lila says as she headed for the kitchen. "I thought you had work?"
"Not until the afternoon, I'm leaving soon."
"Okay." Lila says, while gradually pouring cereal into her bowl that was now overflowing.
"Lila! Your bowl." Mrs. Harrington says, taking the box out her daughters hands.
"Oh shit." Lila says spooning some back into the box.
"What are you doing?" Her mum exclaims as she watches her daughter.
"Can't waste it, so it goes back into the box." Lila say, as she moves to pour milk into the bowl, stopping this time.
"Oh, so you're careful with the milk but not the cereal?" Mrs. Harrington jokes.
"Can't really put the milk back in." Lila says, as she grabs a spoon and shoving the breakfast in her mouth which got an unimpressed look from her mum who proceeded to walk away.
Lila was putting her washed up bowl and spoon away, when the sound of a knocking at the door alerted her, and indicating that Eddie was here which had her quickly walking to the door but was too slow as her mother had already opened the door. "Eddie Munson?" Mrs. Harrington says getting ready to leave when she opened to see a tall boy standing there, with guitar case in hand, "it's been awhile, how are you?"
"Mum!" Lila says, as she tried to scurry her mum quickly out the house.
"Hello Mrs. Harrington." Eddie says, chuckling softly. "I'm doing good."
"Very pleased to hear." Mrs. Harrington says smiling, as she felt Lila pushing her from behind and out the house. "Alright! I'm leaving, I'm going." She says getting into the car.
"Bye mum." Lila shouts, while watching the car pull out of the driveway, and pushed Eddie inside the house instantly.
"Someone's pushy."
"Oh shut up" Lila says, before shutting the door behind her and heading straight upstairs, Munson following behind.
"You still have those dirty and most definitely, for the bin sneakers?" Eddie says, pointing to the very scruffy looking shoes in the corner .
"I'm surprised you can spot them in well- this mess." Lila says, showing her room, "and also they are still wearable." She adds trying to defend them even if he was right, they should be gone.

After some time the pair were finally done setting up everything in her dads studio or office as Mr. Harrington would call it, not some music or painting studio as Lila would use it as.
"Can you play Master of Puppets?" Eddie asks the brunette who was currently standing in the middle of the room. "Actually can you still play California Dreamin'?"
"That would use a softer guitar, an acoustic most likely and yes I can still do it. Doubting me again?" Lila says, moving to sort herself out. "Also is that a challenge?" Lila said, smirking at the boy who was eyeing her.
"Well I was just uh-"
"Come on, spit it out."
"A challenge it is."
