Robin left early in the morning for work with Steve, completely unaware of what was happening on the news as those two got to work.

Lila Harrington awoke again later, after saying bye Robin to the sound of the TV being turned on by Stella who was currently switching through the channels, stopping when she came across the news channel, "oh my God!" Stella shouts, slapping Lila awake.

"Ow! What?" Lila says, rubbing her arm.

"Look at the news!"

"Wh-why?" Lila says, rubbing her eyes.

"Someone's died!"

"What!" Lila says watching the news. "Oh my god! Who?"

"I don't know, they haven't said yet-"

"Wait, that's Eddie Munson's trailer, that's his home!" Lila says, feeling a lump form in her throat.

"What the fuck is going on?"

"I-I don't know." Lila says, moving to sit closer to Stella as they continue to watch the news, but only stopping to go get breakfast from downstairs before going back to watching the news.

"Wait hold on...did she just say the body is a student from Hawkins High-"

"Chrissy?" Stella questions as she continues to listen. "Surely not, right? Chrissy?"

"What? No that's fucking crazy, don't say that."

"Then who?" Stella asks.

"I don't know." Lila said, shrugging as she tried to ignore the uneasy feeling forming in the pit of her stomach.

"Across the community of Hawkins, which is still reeling from last year's devastating mall fire. Over 30 innocent lives were lost..." The news reporter continues to say, "Chief Powell and the Hawkins Police Department are still investigating the crime scene. We don't know if foul play was involved but this is going to touch a nerve across Hawkins."

"So many things have been happening in Hawkins, one thing after another since Barb died and that boy Will vanished but then mysteriously reappeared.'' Stella comments as she watches Lila fiddling with her hair tie.

"Yeah.'' Was all Lila responded with.

"After everything, you start to believe this town is cursed, that the devil lives here in Hawkins," a lady on the news said.

"She's not wrong about that, Hawkins is fucking cursed." Lila says, before jumping of the bed and going into the bathroom, and shutting the door behind. Grabbing a hold of the sink, every single memory hitting her fast, the sound of someone whispering her name, the sound of Demogorgons snarling loudly.

"Many of the residents voice similar concerns to us. Grief, shock, disbelief, anger-"

"How can so many tragedies happen in this town?" Stella says to herself as she waits for Lila to come out the bathroom. "You okay, Lila?"

"Yeah."

After some time Lila came out of the bathroom and sat back on the bed, "nothing else has been said." Stella informs the girl.

The girls sat on bed, continuously watching the news throughout lunch, waiting for more information on the body, as well as a call from Chrissy which wasn't happening.

"I should probably go". Stella says, grabbing her things "If Chrissy calls, tell me the minute you're finished!"

"I will!" Lila says, before bringing Stella in for a tight hug saying goodbye. Just as she was about to close the door two police cars turned up, causing Stella to stop getting in her car. "Mum!" She shouts in the house. "Mum!"
