Night had fallen as the group continued to travel through the woods, Dustin leading with his compass, which was leading them all towards Lovers Lake. "Dustin? Dustin, can you slow down? Dustin!" Eddie was heard saying as the group follows behind the young boy who looked like he was on a mission.

"Okay guys, I think we're close or at least getting closer. I think." Dustin says.

"Fucking hell." Lila says in and out of breath. "I might be a cheerleader but this isn't."

"You good?" Eddie asks.

"I will be." Lila scoffed.

"Hey woah, watch your step, big guy." Eddie says, grabbing hold of Dustin before he could fall into the lake.

"Oh man, you got to be shitting me." Steve says coming to stop.

"Fuck sake, really?" Lila mumbles.

"I thought these woods looked familiar." Eddie says, glancing briefly at Lila.

"Lovers Lake?"Robin said.

"Wait, there's a gate in Lovers Lake?" Max says.

"By looks of it, yes." Lila comments.

"Whenever the Demogorgon attacked, it would always leave an opening." Nancy says. "Meaning maybe Vecna is the same way."

"Well only one way to find out." Steve says, moving from behind his sister.

"Who wants a boat ride and go swimming?" Lila joked as she watched the two boys.

"Easy I- I said easy, man." Steve says, towards Eddie as the two got the boat in water after finding it underneath tarp.

"Sorry." Eddie said, rolling his eyes as he gave Lila a knowing look. "Here you go."

"I know." Lila mouthed, which caused Eddie to snicker quietly before following behind Robin.

"Yeah, I'm just gonna do this." Robin says, holding onto the boys heads for stability as she climbed over them and onto the boat, Lila following closely behind only, she smacks Steve's head in doing so.

"Seriously Lila, that was on purpose." Steve scoffed.

"Oh shut up." Lila says, watching Eddie step in next and helping Nancy step in. "Stop being such a whiny ass."

"Hey, hey ,hey, what are you doing? You trying to sink us?" Eddie says, stopping Dustin before he could even get in the boat. "This thing holds four people tops, okay?"

"What about Lila?" Dustin says.

"Uh no don't bring me into this, obviously I'm going with them." Lila says.

"Dustin, it's better this way, okay? You guys stay here with Max." Nancy says.

"Keep an eye out for trouble." Lila shouted.

"Uh you keep an eye out." Dustin says back. "It's my goddamn theory!"

"Right you heard Nance and Lila." Robin says throwing him a look.

"Um who put them in charge?" Dustin says, pointing at the two girls.

"I did." Robin says.

"Compass?" Nancy says, holding out her hand.

"You can sulk about it later, Henderson." Lila jokes, as Dustin hands over the compass and walks away.

"Hey, there you go." Steve is heard saying, as he throws the bag over to Dustin.

"Unbelieve." Dustin scoffs, as Steve gets in the boat.

"Bedtime at nine, kiddos." Robin shouts, as the boat gets further away from shore. "Miss you already."
