Thirteen

Lila awoke to the sound of someone obnoxiously banging on her bedroom door before the sound of someone barging in really woke her up. "Lila!" the voice booms, as it walked over to a half awake girl, who was slowly rising from her bed.

"Stella?"

"Wake up, it's the afternoon and we're supposed to be meeting Robin at Family Video?" Stella replies while watching the girl slowly wake up from her deep slumber. "Did you forget?"

"I-" Lila says, scratching her head, "maybe."

"You got to get yourself a diary or at least something to put all your plans in." Stella says, while moving to push the curtains open.

"Oh my God! Why would you do that?" Lila says, getting blinded by the daylight."

"You're not a vampire, calm down."

"Who let you in?"

"Your mum."

"Oh."

"Oh."

After being rushed around by Stella, Lila Harrington was finally out of bed and the two girls were finally out of the house and on route to Family Video, "do you remember that place we went to?" Lila asks.

"Um I'm gonna need more context." Stella says, glancing briefly at her.

"The one that you, me and Billy wen-"

"Stefan!"

"I didn't even mention his name and I-"

"He is a very memorable guy." Stella says, smirking.

"Oh my God." Was all Lila could respond with.

"Why are you asking though?"

"Came up in mine and Eddie's conversions yesterday. We spent a while talking about it."

"Oh?"

"Yeah. Did you recognize him?"

"Nope, not until we were at school that next time and obviously he was there and you were like, oh my God it's Eddie, as in Eddie bloody Munson. You realized after we left the place that's who it was but you were too slow and late."

"So you do remember" Lila said, looking at the girl.

"Stefan?"

"What ever happened to him?"

"Stayed in contact for like a month or two, saw each other a bit but then I not him, me stopped talking to him. Turns out he was a major dick."

"Oh?" Lila says, as they finally turn into the car park, and arrived at Family Video.

"I have no idea where or what or even who he is doing."

"I-" Lila says, stepping out the car, walking in the direction of the entrance, not waiting for Stella who was still sorting herself out.

"Could've waited." Stella shouts from a distance as she finally catches up, just as Lila walked inside.

"Hi brother." Lila says, smiling as she entered Family Video, and made her way over to the horror/thriller sections.

"No I'm working." Steve says, already annoyed by her presence.

"Relax! I'm not here for you, I'm here for Rob." Lila said, just as Robin rushed out onto Tyne shop floor after exiting the back room frantically.

"I'm here, sorry."

"What!" Steve exclaims coming round the counter facing his sister "Lila?"

"What?" Lila shrugged her shoulders.
