Josh arrived at the daycare to pick up his son, Stell. As soon as he saw him, he noticed something different. Oh, Those white highlights were definitely not there on his son's hair when he had dropped him off.
"Tey! Ba't ganyan itsura mo?" Josh asked, amused. "Iniwanan lang kita dito nagka uban ka na!"
Stell looked up at his dad and grinned. "Papa, nilagay po saken ni Paupau yan ehhh."
"Paupau? May bago ka nang friend?"
"Opo. Pogi daw ako sabi Paupau."
'Di na napigilan ni Josh na mapangiti nang sobra. "Aba naman talaga! May napogian na agad sa'yo? Lakas mo naman, manang mana ka talaga sa'kin, anak."
Teytey opened his arms, at kinarga naman siya ni Josh. "Well, I have to admit, they do look pretty cool on you."
As they walked to the car, Josh asked, "Kumusta araw mo, nak? Ayos ba? Kwento mo naman kay Papa."
Stell's eyes lit up. Hirap talaga kargahin neto minsan e, apakaligalig. "Papa, Papa! Nipag dowing kami ni Teacher Jah! Nag dowing ako dinosaurs!!!"
"Talaga? Sige patingin mo sa'kin pag uwi ha? Tapos idikit naten sa ref?"
The kid nods. "Saka ano po Papa, nagplay kami! Ang saya po, nag cook ako. Hihihi!"
Josh smiled, happy to see his son making friends. "That's great, Stell. I'm glad you had a good day."
Driving back home, Josh feels happy that his son had made a new friend and had a great day at school. He knew how important it was to have friends at a young age, and he was glad that Stell had found someone he could connect with.
