Nelly was a cheerful and outgoing girl, entered high school with open arms and a warm smile. She loved making new friends and couldn't wait to see what the next four years held for her. However, there was one girl in particular who caught her eye, but not in a good way.
Her name was (Y/N), and she was an emo girl who kept to herself and never spoke to anyone. Her black clothes, heavy eyeliner, and thick bangs made her stand out, but not in a good way. The other students labeled her as "weird" and avoided her like the plague.
Nelly, on the other hand, saw past the exterior and knew there was more to (Y/N) than what met the eye. She watched her from a distance and noticed how she always sat alone in the cafeteria and never participated in any school activities, even though she had many talents.
Nelly decided it was time to make a move and see if she could break through (Y/N)'s walls. One day, she approached her at her locker and introduced herself. (Y/N) was surprised and taken aback as no one had ever taken the initiative to talk to her before.
Nelly started to ask her about her interests and hobbies and realized they had a lot in common. They both enjoyed listening to music, drawing, and writing poetry. (Y/N) had never felt comfortable sharing her hobbies with anyone, but with Nelly, she felt different. It was as if a weight had been lifted off her shoulders.
As the days went by, Nelly would sit with (Y/N) during lunch and even invite her to hang out after school. (Y/N) was hesitant at first, but slowly started to open up to Nelly. She would share her feelings and thoughts, something she had never done before.
Through their conversations, Nelly learnt about (Y/N)'s struggles; she had been bullied in the past and was afraid of getting hurt again. Nelly made her a promise that she would always be there for her and would never judge her. It was a promise she kept.
Their friendship blossomed, and (Y/N) started to come out of her shell. She started wearing brighter colors, and her hair was no longer hiding her face. She attended school events and even performed on stage during the school's talent show, something she had never imagined doing before.
The other students started to notice the change in (Y/N) and began to treat her differently. They saw that there was more to her than her appearance and began to respect her for who she was.
Nelly and (Y/N)'s friendship became the talk of the school. Everyone was amazed at how two people who were so different could become such good friends. Their bond was unbreakable, and Nelly was grateful for having found such a wonderful friend.
In the end, Nelly and (Y/N) proved that friendship knows no boundaries. They showed that sometimes, all it takes is one person to make a difference in someone's life, and that no one should ever be judged based on their appearance.
