Henrietta was the goth kid in the school, with her black clothes and black hair. She was always seen alone, reading books in the library, or sitting in a corner of the cafeteria. Nobody dared to talk to her. She had a reputation for being moody and unapproachable.
On the other hand, there was (Y/N), the girl obsessed with pink and everything girly. (Y/N)'s world revolved around unicorns, glitter, and all things bright and colorful. She was always bubbly and cheerful, and her school bag was adorned with a pink fluffy keychain.
(Y/N) and Henrietta never spoke to each other until one day, (Y/N) accidentally dropped her unicorn notebook in the hallway. Henrietta, who was walking by, noticed it and picked it up. She handed it back to (Y/N), who was surprised to see someone like Henrietta holding her girly notebook.
"Thanks," (Y/N) said, smiling at Henrietta.
Henrietta nodded and walked away. But that brief meeting left an impact on both of them. (Y/N) was curious about Henrietta, and Henrietta was intrigued by (Y/N).
The next day, (Y/N) saw Henrietta sitting alone in the library, reading a book. Determined to talk to her, (Y/N) walked up to her.
"Hi, I'm (Y/N). I saw you yesterday. You picked up my notebook," she said, trying to break the ice.
Henrietta looked up from her book, surprised to see (Y/N) standing there. She didn't know how to respond, so she just nodded and went back to reading.
(Y/N) tried to start a conversation, but Henrietta was not interested. (Y/N) didn't give up, though. Every day she would talk to Henrietta, whether she responded or not. Slowly, she started to break Henrietta's shell.
Eventually, Henrietta began opening up to (Y/N). They started talking about their interests, their passions, and aspirations. (Y/N) learned that Henrietta loved writing, and Henrietta found out that (Y/N) was a great listener.
Even though they were completely different, they developed an unlikely friendship. (Y/N) showed Henrietta that it was okay to be girly, and Henrietta showed (Y/N) that it was okay to be different.
One day, they went to a punk rock concert together. (Y/N), who had never been to one, was terrified of mosh pits and the loud music. Henrietta held her hand and guided her through the crowds. (Y/N) held on to Henrietta's hand tightly, and that was the moment when she realised she had feelings for Henrietta.
(Y/N) was confused; she had never felt like this before. She didn't know what to do or how to act around Henrietta. Her head was spinning, but she tried to keep her composure.
Days went by, and (Y/N) noticed that Henrietta was acting strange. She was distant and didn't want to talk to (Y/N). (Y/N) was hurt, thinking she had done something wrong. She tried to confront Henrietta, but Henrietta just ignored her.
One day, (Y/N) saw Henrietta sitting by herself in the park. (Y/N) walked up to her, and Henrietta finally spoke up.
"(Y/N), I need to tell you something," Henrietta said, looking down at her hands.
(Y/N)'s heart was pounding. She couldn't bear the suspense.
Henrietta took a deep breath and said, "I know we're friends, but I've been feeling something more. I'm falling in love with you, (Y/N)."
(Y/N) felt like the whole world stopped. She had never even considered the possibility that Henrietta liked her back.
Henrietta looked up, her eyes pleading for a response.
(Y/N) took a step forward and kissed her. It was a soft and gentle kiss, which took both of them by surprise. But it was also perfect, and they both knew it.
From that moment on, (Y/N) and Henrietta were inseparable. They walked hand in hand in the hallways, much to the surprise of their classmates. (Y/N) embraced her girlfriend's gothic side and even started wearing black clothes, much to Henrietta's delight.
Their relationship faced criticism, but they didn't care. They were in love, and that was all that mattered.
In time, (Y/N)'s obsession with pink started to fade, and she embraced her true self - someone who likes all colors, not just pink. Henrietta's moody reputation also changed, and she became more open and friendly. They both had found their true selves and each other, and that was all they needed.
