The next day started early with everyone hurriedly chowing down their breakfast and then busying themselves with packing their bags with only the essentials as Wooyoung and Seonghwa had reminded them time and again. By the time they were done, the sun had already started rising. 'Alright, we'll leave in a few!' Mingi clapped his hands, 'Let's go over the plan now.' He pulled out a chair at the dinner table prompting the others to draw one as well. 'We're going there to take part in the flower festival, you all are my apprentices.' Seonghwa nodded, waiting for more details and instructions, perplexed when he realized there weren't any.
'That's it?' Seonghwa questioned.
'That it.' Mingi smiled at the befuddled spy.
'Mingi here is a regular at the festival, you see.' Pearl explained further. 'He's famous around this area.'
'Once we're in Altair, the rest is up to you, Chul soo.' Seonghwa nodded in understanding. 'I've already informed my partner, he'll find us.' He had sent him a coded message explaining the situation, receiving one right this morning saying how he should've been more careful and how his partner was going to judge the odd bunch that he somehow collected himself before letting them join.
This is why Seonghwa avoided working with him. His partner might be a dear friend of his but his protectiveness was a hassle on missions. He dreaded the time when he'll have to introduce these guys to him.
'Well then!' Wooyoung jumped, picking his bag up, 'Let's get going!'
'There's only one problem,' Mingi looked around hesitantly at the three who were looking at him with curiosity, 'I might have woken you all up three hours before we needed to.' he confessed.
'Oh come on!' A collective groan echoed in the house.
'Hey! I was nervous okay? It's not always that I help out spies infiltrate a state!' He pouted, slumping back in his chair.
'Now what are we supposed to do for...' Pearl looked at the watch hanging on the wall, 'Two hours?!' She rolled her eyes, laying her head on the table.
'Want some snacks? I got cookies.' Mingi offered, munching on one himself and passing a few around the table. 'These are good!' Pearl exclaimed, helping herself to a few more, stuffing them into her cheeks like a squirrel before choking on a piece.
'You're not eating?' Wooyoung looked at Seonghwa who looked lost in his thoughts, flinching when he felt a hand land on his shoulder. 'What are you thinking?'
'I've told this to Pearl already,' he looked at the brunette, who was gulping down big gulps of water, 'but I'll say it once again.' The group watched him apprehensively, nervous about what he might say, 'Now is the time to back out. I can't guarantee what will happen next, I can't guarantee if we'll even make it out alive. If you have even an ounce of doubt, back out.' The room fell silent for a few moments, the trio staring at each other's faces before they broke into big grins.
