Passing through the city borders was rather easy. Pearl wasn't lying when she said Mingi was famous. In fact, calling him famous was an understatement. Just fifteen minutes into the flower fest people were swarming around the florist, asking for autographs or some advice and showing him some of their plants and flowers. Mingi was kind and patient enough to engage with every single one of them, chatting and making jokes here and there although, a little shy. The spy was in wonder at the social skill he had. 'Then again, royals are supposed to be skilled conversationalists,' he thought. Pearl and Wooyoung had disappeared among the displays and food stalls of the fest as soon as they stepped in. Seonghwa, meanwhile, was looking for something. A hint or maybe an indication of where his partner could be. He scanned the area once, twice, thrice as they trod down the lines of shops and displays only to find nothing.
'We're setting up here.' Mingi decided before leaving the task of setting up the stall to Seonghwa when he left to find the other two to help him out with the flowers.
'Quite a bunch you've gathered, eh?' Seonghwa turned towards the voice, rolling his eyes when he saw a man towering over him, sporting a flower crown over his golden blond hair beaming down at him with his toothy grin. He peered down at the three who were now dragging along the big cart full of variations of plants that they took along with them. They eyed the two spies, a look of confusion evident on the two royals' faces. Not Wooyoung though. Wooyoung held a look of pride as if Seonghwa had just won them a lifetime supply of granny's cookies.
'Finally socializing like a big boy! Oh, they grow up so fast!' he wiped invisible tears off his face, sniffling for some added dramatics. 'Anyways, who's the cutie?' They gestured in the man's direction who was just standing there, scanning the three from head to toe.
'This is uh...' Seonghwa hesitated, not sure as to what name he should use. Spies, usually, have many aliases. Seonghwa himself had taken many different names throughout his career. Slipping up with names could be fatal in his line of work. He didn't want to blow up his partner's cover. 'What would be a good name for this idiot?' he scanned the man up and down. 'George? No, too old-fashioned. Frank? Yeah, he looks like a Frank.' he made up his mind, opening his mouth to tell them the made-up name.
'Before he tells you something ridiculous for my name,' the blond started, looking at Seonghwa knowingly, 'I'm Yunho.' Seonghwa's jaw dropped down to the netherworld, shocked at how he could just use his real name on missions. 'He probably told you some sort of abomination for his name, right?' He chuckled.
Wooyoung sighed, 'He said it's Chul Soo.' he said, shaking his head. That sent Yunho into a laughing fit with his head thrown back and tears pouring from his eyes.
'Seriously?' he looked back at the embarrassed spy who had turned redder than her hair, 'Him?!'
'I had to think quick.' he tried to defend himself.
'Might as well have called yourself the queen of Nashira then.' Yunho said, sarcastically. Seonghwa was about to come back with a snarky comment, determined to wipe that smug smile off his face when Pearl interrupted. 'Seriously though, you should tell us your real name now. There's no reason to hide it anymore.' This was met by more muddled sounds of support by the other three; Wooyoung being the most eager one of them all, of course.
'We told you everything that was to tell about us. It's only fair!' he reasoned. Seonghwa turned to Yunho for help only to find him nodding along with the rest of the group as well. 'That traitor.'
'Alright.' Seonghwa sighed, finally defeated. 'My name,' the three Alhenans looked at the spy with wide, glossy eyes, eagerly waiting for the ultimate reveal as if it was the long-awaited climax of their favourite drama, 'is Seonghwa.' There. He said it.
'And you said it's Chul soo?!' Wooyoung exclaimed, voice louder than even the drums beating just a few feet away from the group, drawing the attention of the passerby as he went off on a rant on how cool his name was and how he should be shouting it out every other second. Needless to say, he liked this name way more.
'Seonghwa' Pearl mumbled, testing the feel of the name. It felt right. Felt like comfort. She looked at the owner of the name whose head was just about to explode from listening to Wooyoung rant away his very strong opinions on his name. It had taken them the whole afternoon to reach the city borders so the sun had started to set already. The spy's honey skin reflected the golden light, glowing when he moved around, his freckles were more on display than the night before. His red hair shone like flames under the sunlight, flowing with the wind. Beautiful. She repeated her name again and again in her mind, testing out different tones and voices. No matter how she said it, the eight-letter word just pulled her in more. Seonghwa. Such a beautiful name! Just like the owner.

'Seriously?' Wooyoung questioned the redhead for the thirtieth time that day. 'Your name is Seonghwa?'
'Give it a rest, Wooyoung.' Mingi hit the back of his head, gaining a slap back which started a slapping contest between the two friends. They were following Yunho back to his house after the flower fest had ended for the day. Mingi and Wooyoung walked right after Yunho, followed by Seonghwa and Pearl who were walking at a distance; not wanting to be associated with the two idiots. They strolled in silence, looking straight down at the pavement with their hands in their pockets.
'Your friend,' Pearl started. 'He's quite a personality.'
'Yeah.' Seonghwa looked at the blond, who still adorned that sunflower crown on his head, not one flower out of place despite him running around the fest the whole time they were there.
'Are all your friends like that?' The princess asked, suddenly curious about the spy's mystery-shrouded life.
'He's my only friend.' Seonghwa answered matter-of-factly as if it was the most normal thing to say and he didn't just sound like a complete loner. That was followed by a few moments of silence. The spy can swear he could hear the cogs of the princess' brain churn.
'Say, Seonghwa.' The man looked at Pearl at the sound of his name. It was just his name. He had heard it many times before from various people. But how he felt when the princess said it made him feel giddy and weird. Maybe because it was the first time someone called him by his real name on a mission, he reasoned to himself before pulling himself out of his thoughts.
'Yeah?' he croaked out.
'Are you a serial killer?' Pearl asked with the utmost sincerity, making the spy stop in his track and look at her with utter confusion.
'What makes you think that?'
'No, it's just that you're so aloof and you said Yunho was your only friend back home.' Pearl glanced in the direction of the blond who accompanied her cousin and best friend.
'So me being a serial killer was the only reasonable explanation to you?' Seonghwa questioned, shaking his head but the brunette just shrugged, surprising the spy. 'Well to answer your question.' he looked up at the sky, sighing at the fate that tied him to this unbelievably stupid but adorable princess, 'I have killed a few people through the course of my career, but I do not find any sort of amusement in doing it.' he answered honestly, taking the princess by surprise.
'Okay...Good to know.' Pearl chuckled weakly, a little scared. She stared at the Nashiran walking in front of her, the confession had most certainly taken Pearl by surprise. As intimidating as Seonghwa was, he didn't look like the type to murder someone. 'But then again, he is a spy. That's a part of their job.' Pearl reasoned with herself. Seonghwa looked back, confused at the sudden silence to find the princess lost in her thoughts, not noticing that she was staring.
'Oh come on princess! It's not like I'll kill you in your sleep!' Seonghwa groaned, taking Pearl's hand and pulling her to walk alongside him.
'Y-yeah.' Pearl croaked out.
'I prefer slow torturous killing.' That was enough for the poor princess to bolt to the rest of the group.
