y/n pov

I was in a hotel room for the night and they had a piano down in the lobby so I thought it would be fun to play it and stream it as my first official stream back.

"Hey guys! So not only am I a writer and a gamer, I'm also a bit of a musician. I noticed this piano and really wanted to share something with you all!!"

Chat started to flood with exclamation marks and other random things. I laughed and I grabbed my journal from my bag, "so I wrote this about 2 years ago. I still love it, so I'm going to play it for you!! It's my rendition of 'hey there delilah' and some of you may actually know who it's about!!"

(quick thing, this song was originally written by @c418-mellohi in their book "serenading", unfortunately it's unpublished, so this isn't the exact copy of the song, but it is inspired!)

I took a breath and started playing hey there delilah on the piano.

"Hey there my blonde boy

What's it like in the uk?

Im 4 thousand miles away

But boy, tonight you look so pretty, yes you do

Times square can't shine as bright as you

I swear it's true"

"Hey there tommy

Don't you worry about the distance

I'm right there if you get lonely

Give my books another read

Close your eyes,

Listen to my stories

they're my disguise

I'm by your side"

"Oh, it's what you do to me

Oh, it's what you do to me

Oh, it's what you do to me

Oh, it's what you do to me

what you do to me"

"Hey there tommy

I know times are getting hard

But just believe me boy

Someday i'll pay the bills

With this book

We'll have it good.

We'll have the life we knew we would

My word is good"

"Hey there tommy

I've got so much left to say

If every simple book

I wrote to you

Would take your breath away

I'd write it all.

Even more..."

I stopped playing, "sorry everyone, i am gonna have to end it there, i'm going home tomorrow and i didnt realise the time! I really need to get some sleep, I hope you all enjoyed it. Let me know if I should sing more, yeah?"

I clicked the end button after saying goodbye.

I grabbed my phone and sat back at the piano.

I played the keys again and started singing the last bit of the song,

"Hey there tommy

I've got so much left to say

If every simple book

I wrote to you

Would take your breath away

I'd write it all.

Even more in love with you i'd fall,

We'd have it all"

"Oh, it's what you do to me

Oh, it's what you do to me

Oh, it's what you do to me

Oh, it's what you do to me

what you do to me"

"4 thousand miles seems pretty far

But they've got trains and planes and boats

I'd walk to you if i had no other way

Our friends would all make fun of us

And we'd just laugh along because

We know that none of them have felt this way

Tommy i can promise you

That by the time we get through

The world will never ever be the same

And you're to blame"

I ended the song there because I never finished altering the lyrics. I decided to just head up to my room, order room service and sleep the rest of the night.

Tommy pov

I just decided to check on twitch and noticed that y/n was streaming. I decided to watch because she hasn't streamed since she was here the last time.

I know it's been so long but I wanted to check and see how she was doing.

After she started the song I immediately knew it was about me and I started crying as she went on. At the end of her stream, she cut the song off and ended. I was a bit shocked that she even thought about me, let alone altered a song about me.

I decided to call schlatt, "what do you need tommy?" I sighed, "what do you think i should do?" he deeply sighed, "about what?" i took a second to respond, "should i reach out to y/n, or should i leave her alone?"

He sighed, "tommy, she is way too busy to have any distractions, there's too much going on for her right now and honestly i think it would be better if you didn't reach out, not only for her sake, but for your own, you don't even know if she wants to talk to you-"

I cut him off, "but her stream, the song-" he then cut me off, "she wrote it 2 years ago, she probably only preformed it because it was easy and it was in her journal," i sighed, "but schlatt-" he cut me off again, "tommy, don't," i sighed but eventually agreed with him.

We hung up and I went to sleep. I didn't want to- wait a second, she said she was going home, does that mean here or in california? What if she is going to be next door? Wait- what if- nononono stop it, don't think like that. Schlatt said she's too busy, and has too much on her plate, I'm not going to interfere...

And with that i fell asleep in my childhood home..
