chapter 6

we rang the doorbell only to be greeted  by the one and only, tommyinnit, "hey," i said when i noticed it was him. "oh uh- hi," he greeted, "uhm- come in," he said letting us in. i slipped my shoes off as did schlatt. "thanks," i smiled, "god what smells so good?" schlatt said a little too loudly which caused all of us to laugh, "that would be..." i took a deep breath in, "mm, sara's famous Lancashire Hotpot," i said almost drooling, tommy laughed, "yeah, how'd you know?" i looked at him, "really? you didnt think i'd know what my favourite food smelt like, even though it's been a loooong time, i will never forget that smell, god it smells absolutly divine," schlatt and tommy laughed, "okay, im gonna go meet your parents tom, and try getting a taste of that delicious smelling food," we laughed as he headed to the kitchen.

"so, y/n, how've you been?" tommy spoke up, "fine i guess, how have you been mr. famous streamer?" he laughed, "not nearly as famous as you miss best selling author in the US, Canada, and all of Europe," i chuckled, "i think part of that has to do with you, i saw the wall upstairs this morning," he blushed a tad, "that- that was my parent's doing!" i hummed, "sure sure," i headed into the kitchen, "y/n! hi, so glad you could join us tonight, i know youre going to be busy as a bee here soon so i figured what better way to get everyone together for a family meal!" i laughed, "hi, it's so nice to be back, i honestly might stay, i love it here too much to leave again for a long time, it's been far too long," she pulled me into a hug, "that would be amazing dear, but you have one of the greatest jobs ever, dont settle here until you are beyond ready to," i smiled, "it's way overdue, ive been thinking about moving back for a while now," we hugged for a second longer before she had to get back to cooking. i decided to head to the garden and walk around the house for a while. 

my first place was the garden. i remembered tommy and i running around here and my house as kids, i remember us going into the woods nearby to play. i laughed and reminiced for a moment before going back in and heading upstairs where i found tommy and schlatt in tommy's room. it hasnt changed other than a few things not being there anymore. i smiled and knocked on the door, "oh hey!" tommy said standing up, "i see things havent changed in here," i said looking around, "oh my god no," i noticed a framed picture of us the last time i was here, "no shot you still have this, and no shot you didnt take it to your new place when you moved out!" he laughed, "yeah i actually have more at my apartment than i do here," he said scratching the back of his neck.

"i gotta piss, wheres the bathroom?" schlatt spoke up, "over there" tommy replied while pointing down the hall. i smiled and looked around his room a bit more. "so, we should talk yeah?" i nodded and sat down at his desk. "so, back then.." he sighed, "back then, three years ago, that was the last time we talked, were 21 now. we grew up a lot i think," i smiled, "yeah, a lot.." i nodded, "back then i used to be in love with you, do you remember?"  he nodded, "yeah, of course i do," tears started fighting to fall but i held them in, "when i left, i was so mad at you, i wanted to talk with you so many times through out the last 3 years, but everytime i wanted to it always seemed like i got busy and couldnt or maybe i just didnt want to.." i sighed, "you know, i have read every line from everything you write, your short stories, your novels, everything, because it was like being able to talk to you again- i mean i even watched your interveiws and everything hundreds of times.." i chuckled, "and i watched your streams and every time you talked to clay or schlatt i was always there, listening closely... this doesnt mean i like you or anything still, i just have missed my best friend.." he nodded, "yeah, same" 

we sat there staring at each other for a moment until i stood up and hugged him, "what-" i laughed a bit, "i have wanted to hug you again for so long, its not different at all," i felt his body tense for moment, "same," he said wrapping his arms around me.
