Chapter 21: In The Heat Of The Moment.

Jessie and I continue talking until we hear a scream from downstairs that turns my body cold.

Jessie and I look at each other then spring out of bed and rush down the stairs to find a man with teary eyes kneeling over a young women.

I stand there in horror staring at the girl who has a huge gash in her stomach.

Do something! My subconscious yells at me and I walk towards the man and women on the floor.

The man bares his canines at me and stands up in a protective stance growling warningly.

Well this can go two ways...

I put my hands up and walk towards him slowly in surrender until I'm in front of him.

By now, the man looks about ready to bite my head off as he snarls.

"Hayden she's helping your mate, stand down. Now." Sophe says and I look to see her eyes glowing red as Jessie gives Sophe a pointed look.

That must be Sophe's wolf.

The guy Hayden immediately backs away but growls at me the whole time as I walk towards his mate.

"I'm gonna fix you right up." I whisper as I kneel down and I tear the lower part of the womans shirt off and Hayden snarls at me.

"Hayden." Sophe says warningly and I look up at Jessie.

"Bring me a first aid kit." I say and Jessie rushes off doing as I said.

"What's your name?" I ask the women and she looks at me wearily.

Stay awake.

"Angela." She says and I smile.

"That's a beautiful name. Now, Angela, I'm going to put pressure on this. It's going to hurt like hell but I'm going to do it to stop the bleeding so we can take you to the pack doctor." I say and she nods.

I place my hands on the huge gash on her stomach and she grunts but let's me keep pressure.

"Where's Jessie?!" I ask Sophe worriedly.

"I-." Sophe starts but then looks at me in shock and I look back down at Angela.

To see her stomach glowing.

No, my hands glowing.

I freak out and take my hands off alarmed and unsure of what's happening to see that the gash is nearly healed.

"Val it's okay, keep going. You were healing her." Sophe says in a disbelieving voice.

I do as she says hesitantly and my hands start to glow as Jessie comes back looking at my hands with joy.

"It's starting." Jessie whispers to Sophe and I look up to see Sophe shaking her head then I look back down.

"How?" Sophe asks and that's when Angela gasps and her body lurches into a sitting position causing me to fall backwards on my ass.

"O-Oh my god thank you Luna." She says her eyes tearing up as she pulls me to a sitting position with unbelievable strength and hugs me.

"You're welcome." I say and hug her as she cries.

I let her go and she jumps up running into her mates arms with a smile as tears pour down her cheeks.

"I'm terribly sorry Luna, for growling and the lack of respect. Thank you." Hayden says looking at me and I nod.

"You're welcome." I say still dazed.

My hands were glowing. What the actual hell was that?

I shakily look up from my bloody hands to Jessie and Sophe staring at me.

"W-What was that?" I ask and Jessie walks towards me.

"You'll find out soon, but you need to find out yourself. It'll be okay." Jessie says and I gape.

I'm a human! And I just healed someone with my hands! How's that okay?!

"Let's go get you washed up. Your heats going to start soon and if you don't want to mate Greyson, I highly suggest-."

"Get me out of here." I say with a horrified expression.

Sophe laughs as both of them rush me up to my room and tell me to shower quickly and grab a weeks worth of clothes.

I quickly did just that. After my shower I throw my hair in a ponytail, grab my toothbrush, brush, makeup, hairties, and a weeks worth of clothes, shoving it all in a backpack.

"Let's go, Greyson will know when your heat starts and if we don't leave in time then, his wolf will be able to pinpoint you immediately." Jessie says and I gulp lacing up my tennis shoes.

Once I finish we race downstairs into a car and start driving away leaving the pack house behind.

Jessie turns around suddenly and gives me some orange juice while telling me to drink it so I do.

"Where are we going?" I ask and Jessie shakes her head 'no'.

"We can't tell you. Once your heat starts you'll do anything to get Greyson to find you. Including giving him the information where you're at. So, keep drinking." Jessie winks and I look at the orange juice in hand then roll down the window, spitting it out.

"What did you do?!" I shriek and Jessie laughs.

"Well you know how to read signs and crossroads, so... I had to drug you some way." Jessie says and I suddenly feel really tired.

"Aww... sh-shi-shiet." I slur then lay on the seat of the car.

Jessie turns on the radio and the song reminds me of Greyson.

"Girl I, I'm gonna love you. Forever and ever and ever."

And with that song and Greyson in mind, I fall asleep.

It was dark, so damn dark and my body continued to heat up as panic erupted in my chest.

Heat can't make you blind right? I can't see! Because your eyes are closed dumbass. I hate you voice go away!

I open my eyes to see black dots and dim lights when a wave of excruciating pain hits my body full force making me scream. Wave after wave of blinding pain hits me until I'm able to catch my breathe only to start sobbing.

My wrists are chained to the bed and I laid here with nothing but my panties and a bra on, but I felt like I was wearing clothes meant for freezing temperatures.

My body was on fire, and although the ceiling fan was going full speed it helped nothing as I shut my eyes. That's when the heat engulfs my body and I find myself screaming.

"Greyson!"
