Lena's POV

I decided to take a quick shower before leaving Stef's room. The night was amazing, and the morning was even better even if we didn't make love because waking up beside her was something I couldn't get enough of.

When I head outside, I heard some talking though, and at first, I thought it was Brandon, but it wasn't him. It was Sharon.

"Oh, here's the runner coming back!" she said smiling yet very sarcastically and king of aggressively if I'm honest, but I guess she's just looking out for her daughter, so I decided to play along.

"Ma!" Stef reprimand before I have the time to react which was nice of her of course, but I knew I had to handle this alone for Sharon must not trust me as much as she did before I left Stef to go to Washington.

"It's okay baby. Hi Sharon, is everyone calling me that now?" I ask trying to sound casual almost comfortable by smiling even though I was a bit uncomfortable right now for I don't mind at all explaining myself to Stef, but I won't explain myself to her mother even if I like her, my relationship is with Stef and nobody else.

"Well, you did run, my dear." She replied still smiling but I could tell she was annoyed by me, and I didn't like it for I didn't need for my girlfriend's mother to not approved of me on top of rebuilding Stef's trust in me.

"Okay, Ma you stop that. Lena is here now, she's my girlfriend and may I remind you how it was to be treated based on the mistake you made?" Stef said coming to my defense as I was glad that she stood by me because that's what I've always looked for in a relationship.

"Oh, so Lena is your girlfriend again? So cool!" We heard a little voice exclaim behind us as Brandon ran to me and I smile wildly at him, but I search for Stef's eyes to see if it was okay for, we didn't discuss about telling Brandon right away that we got back together.

She looked at and then smile, nodding at me and I knew it was fine so I couldn't be happier as I hugged Brandon in my arms.

"Yeah, you're right buddy, that's very cool." I said winking at is mom as she smiled even more. We were like in our little bubble all three of us.

"Does that mean that you're going to spend Christmas with us Lena? Is she mommy?" Brandon asked excited looking between me and then at his mother.

"Well, if Lena doesn't have any plans, then of course, baby." Stef said before looking at me for an answer.

"I usually spend it with my parents, but it happens that this year, they will be in Paris so..." I said trying not to sound too excited even though I very much am.

"Then it's sold, Lena will be with us, and you too mum, right?" My girlfriend asks to her mother.

"Well of course, where else would I be?" she laughs as Brandon ran to her.

"And you will behave." Stef added still looking at her mother which was funny.

"Of course, I'll behave. Don't act like I can't hold myself Stefanie!" she defended, making Stef shook her head as I giggled a little for at the end of the day, I'm just glad that those two made up, even if it means that Sharon is a bit reluctant about me now. I'll just show her that I'm here to stay and I would never hurt her daughter like that again.

Stef's POV

My mother and her habit to stop by unnuanced. I knew she was going to be hostile to Lena, and I did warn her before Lena got out of the shower but of course she couldn't help herself.

It was honestly a bit odd to see her come off protective of me since she never was before, but I guess she changed which I'm glad for. I don't really like it when it's toward Lena, but I think that's her way to show me that I wasn't so alone anymore.

Anyway, speaking of alone... Mike. It's our first Christmas since the divorce and I know for a fact that he's alone. His family barely talk to him, and they never bothered to come see Brandon at least once, not even when he was born.

Mike is my family, not matter what, not matter if we're not in a good place, or not talking at all, he's my family, he gave me my son and there's no way he's going to stay alone for Christmas.

However, there's also no way the guy is going to accept my invitation so I guess I would have to play it sneaky. Brandon would be the messenger, he won't get a chance the refuse, cause' my baby can be very persuasive when he really wants something, and I know that he wants his father with him for that day, he wants all of us there, and I'm determinate to make it happen.

I have to warn Lena though, Mike can be sarcastic just like me at time and I know he would behave for B's sake, but I'm not sure it would be at his best behavior, so just in case.

"Baby, is it okay with you if I invite - well if Brandon- invites Mike over for Christmas? It's the first one since, you know, the divorce and he has no one and Brandon would love to have all of us here." I ask Lena as we got a little moment just the two of us in the kitchen.

"Of course, it's okay Stef, Brandon comes first, and I have nothing against Mike, I don't mind at all babe, but... I mean would that be okay with him that I'm here?"

"Lena, you are both part of my life and B's life so he'll have to suck it up. I want you here, and so does Brandon." I said firmly for I don't want her to feel like an outsider, she's becoming a part of the family, at least that's how I see it.

"Okay. Well then, I guess we'll cook for a table of 5 on Christmas then. I mean... you're not planning to get takeout, right?" she said looking almost horrified as I giggled.

"No love, mom is going to help me cook, you won't even have to lift a finger for once." I said, pulling her to me as I put my arms around her waist.

"Ooh, that could be interesting!" she said amused.

"And why is that, miss Adams?" I ask smiling wide at her.

"Are you two not going to kill each other in that kitchen? You're not a very good student at cooking as I recall." She said smirking.

"Touché. But that's true just at cooking as I recall myself." I said seductively kissing on her neck as she giggled again.

"Yeah, you're damn right about that." she said grabbing my neck and kissing me full force making me almost moan out loud.

"Mmm, baby, there's people in the living room." I said pulling away as she winked at me and then proceed to work out the kitchen swinging her cute little ass on purpose.

I'm so in love it's insane.
