Hiccup's POV
I pace around before glaring at Viggo, who is now sitting in a chair. All the other Riders surround him. Thyra is leaning against the desk and is watching everything closely. I don't know what she's feeling, her face just looks blank.
I focus back on Viggo. 'What happened here? Viggo, where is the Dragon Eye?'
Before he can answer, someone enters the tent. We all turn around. Shock covers my face upon seeing my dad, raging mad. He's stomping right at Viggo with a scowl on his face. 'You come after my son. You come after my home.' I slowly back away, Oh Thor, he's furious!
'Now you get to deal with me!' Without any hesitation, dad pulls Viggo up at his throat, I'm pretty sure he intends to strangle him.
I notice Thyra's eyes widen but she doesn't intervene. Well, if she won't, I will. I quickly run at my dad. 'Dad, wait! Revenge is not a plan. Remember...'
He doesn't even look at me, he keeps glaring at Viggo. 'That was for you. For me, it goes down a treat.'
I silently plead him with my eyes when he finally looks at me. 'Let Viggo speak.'
He grumbles and then reluctantly drops Viggo, who immediately gasps for breath and massages his throat. 'Ryker's lost all sense of reason. He's on his own and unfortunately managed to sway the soft minds of the Dragon Hunters. My brother has turned them against their leader.'
I didn't plan on it, but once again, my gaze lands on Thyra. She has her jaw and fists clenched and keeps glaring at Viggo. She doesn't even notice me.
'And that, right there, is why I'd rather have a sister any day of the week.' I get snapped out of my thoughts by Tuffnut and look at him instead.
'Uh-huh.' Ruffnut nods to confirm it.
'Not you, obviously, but, a different sis.'
Ruffnut has a look of shock on her face before she glares at her brother, who doesn't even notice it. I ignore the twins, as usual, and turn my focus back on Viggo.
'Ryker's plan, as simple-minded as it is, is to wipe out the Dragon Riders and all of your allies.'
'Yeah, h-how is that different from every other bad guy we've ever dealt with?' I really don't understand this, we defeated Ryker multiple times, he's definitely less dangerous than Viggo so what's the problem?
'And defeated! Yeah.' Fishlegs beams proudly. I give him a small smile before looking back at Viggo.
'The difference, my dear Hiccup is project Shell Fire. You two remember that, don't you?' He looks at the twins, who glare at him.
'Just remember, if Vi-ggo, you go!' Tuffnut exclaims, and he points his finger from himself to Viggo.
'That's right. Today's your day to burn, and we're the torches with the fire that burns!' Ruffnut yells at him. Oh Thor, those two...
'I'm sorry, did I miss something?' Viggo looks at me in confusion and I just shake my head.
'Guys, guys maybe not now.' I look at the twins, who look disappointed. Then I look back at Viggo. 'Tell me what project Shell Fire is. We know it's some sort of weapon. Is it a boat? A Dragon?'
'In due time, I will divulge all. Project Shell Fire, the location of the Dragon Eye. But only if you help me stop my brother and send me on my way.'
'Oh yay, what an answer.' Thyra rolls her eyes. Snotlout fake coughs. 'Yak dung! Oh, I'm sorry. I had something in my LYING throat!'
'Snotlout is right, Hiccup. We shouldn't trust Viggo as far as we can throw him.' Fishlegs says worriedly. I know he's right, I know that, but it's just that... Viggo knows what shellfire is, and, what if deep down, deep deep deep down, there is still good in him? I saw how he looked at Thyra, I know he's worried for her. That has to mean something, right?'
