Felix POV

There's a new girl at school. Well, actually she's not new anymore. She's been here at least 3 years. I've only just started noticing her now. And not like that. My dad told me to keep an eye on her and her friends.

Honestly though, at Foxfire they're not all that interesting. Except for the blond one. Keefe. He's a huge troublemaker like me.

At home though. At school, I'm just the quiet kid in the back. I'm not even sure that half the people here know I exist. Which is a good thing. If I was noticed, it would just make observing harder.

"Mr. Pyren! Am I so boring that you feel the need to fall asleep in my class?!" My Elven History mentor snapped. "Honestly, yeah you are." I replied. Big mistake. Now I have detention...

In Detention

I walk into Lady Cadence's room and instantly gag. Curdleroots. Great. I take a seat and set my bag down. Lady Cadence orders us to start peeling, but halfway through, Keefe walks in.

The only seat left is next to me. If I'm going to sit next to him, I might as well talk to him.

"Get detention often?" I smirk. "Who me? Of course not. I'm a complete angel." We start laughing but Lady Cadence interrupts us.

"You two. Less talking, more peeling. You're not here to have fun, you're here to learn a valuable lesson. Now start peeling before I give you another detention." The thing is, we couldn't stop laughing. Long story short, we got another detention.

After school we hung out again.

We went down to Atlantis and went to the eurypterid races.

"Hey you! Get back here!" Shouts followed as a eurypterid climbed out of its cage and towards the crowds. It knocked down carts that were selling snacks and souvenirs. I guess that's what you get for naming a eurypterid Rebel. Like honestly, what did you expect?

"I said get back here!" Rebel's rider shouted, running towards us. Maybe we shouldn't have freed Rebel. Oh well.

Keefe and I took off running, weaving through the crowds until we got to the geysers. We got in a bubble, and we shot up.
