Chapter 9

Forkle POV

After getting that tip from Sophie, the Black Swan Collective decided to look into it, and what we found was shocking. A girl that looked around 15, drugged in a bed. What was weird was that she looked almost peaceful.

She matched the description of Luna, but this girl didn't have blue streaks in her hair. We decided to take her to Elwin. Squall reached out to grab her, but all of a sudden, she started hyperventilating and shaking.

Granite ended up using telekinesis to lift her, and we leaped to Havenfield and hailed Elwin. At this point she was also sweating and looked like she couldn't breath.

Edaline and Sophie came running down and Edaline gasped. "What happened to her?" She asked. "She was found at a suspected Neverseen base." "The poor girl." Elwin said, coming through the entrance.

Sophie POV

"Has anyone searched her for weapons?" Sandor tried growling, but it came out like a squeaky mouse trying to be intimidating. I bit back a laugh.

When no one answered, he sighed, stepped forward and started searching Luna for weapons.

He made a huge pile of everything he found. Knives (all different sizes), human stun guns, tasers, a bracelet with a charm that looked oddly similar to Dex's panic ring, two melders, goblin throwing stars, and lots of daggers.

"If this doesn't convince you that something's up, I don't know what will." Fitz said, walking into the room followed by Biana, Dex, Tam, Linh.

"Where's Keefe?" I asked. I was met with a chorus of "I don't know" and "Who know's" and in Tam's case, "Who cares. What's up with that girl over there?"

By this point, the sedative had worn off and Luna sat up, groggy. "Wha- where am I?" She says patting herself down like she's looking for her weapons.

"WHERE'S MY KNIFE?!"

She looks so panicked and scared. I feel bad for her. She just woke up in a strange place, surrounded by strange people, and she has nothing to defend herself with. 'But she could also be with the Neverseen.' I reminded myself.

"Why do you need your knife?" Elwin asks. "It has my meds!" She says looking kinda pale. "Meds for what?" He asks as he is frantically looking through the pile of weapons. "For my allergies." She replies then lies back down, looking drained.

"WHAT??? You have allergies and you put your meds in a knife." Elwin says, shaking his head as he picks up a knife bigger than the others and hands the meds to her.

"What? The knife can be used as self defence and a medication compartment. Anyways he should be here to drop off the rest of my meds." She said.

"Who is he?" Sandor said "What other meds?" Elwin said at the same time sounding concerned.

"Felix and idk what the other meds are for. You can ask him when he gets here" Luna said, putting the pills in her mouth and swallowing them.

All of a sudden I see Keefe running behind Felix. "How did Keefe and Felix know we were here?" Fitz says "I don't know" I reply.

Felix has never been to my house before and he knew exactly where to go. I guess Keefe probably told him.

But I'm more confused with what Felix is holding.

"Oh my god, Lune!" he says, kneeling down beside her, then reaches into the bag he's holding and grabs a human needle.

"Keefe, hold her still please." He says. "On it." Keefe replies and holds her still because she is still shaking, except now she's worsened. She was hyperventilating and sweating.

We were all just standing there so confused as to what's happening.

Felix injects Luna with something and she calms down. "What is that?" I ask him.

Elwin is frantically checking Luna and flashing different lights around her.

"Oh just something to calm her down, she was having a panic attack." He replies, then looks at Elwin. "And I don't think that will help." He says, annoyed. "If anything, it will just make it worse."
