CHAPTER 44 : ANDRE

Hey!!! This is currently the longest chapter I've written in my life, but as usual, it's worth it. I missed my last update. *weeps*. Anyways, enjoy the chapter

It was all surreal and I was finding it hard to believe that it wasn't some dream projecting my desires. But the steering wheel I was holding was real. The soft music streaming out of the car stereo was real. The lights of the buildings outside were real. The woman chattering beside me sure was real. Real and mine as fuck.

I couldn't still wrapped my head around the fact that she was gonna spend the night at my place. How did we go from her trying to leave to this?

"You look exhausted. I'd never seen you with eye bags ever. You look hideous, darling." She remarked in a light tone. And she was telling the truth.

"I didn't sleep last night, plus I came straight from the airport to your office."

She sounded concerned. "Why didn't you sleep last night? Stress?"

I shook my head. "Nah, your text stole the sleep right out of my eyes."

"Dios mio, lo siento." She said alarmingly and I almost chuckled at how frenzied her apologies were. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to rob you of your sleep like that."

"Just don't do something like that again. I tend to lose sleep over little things. And you are one of the most important things in my life right now. You're lucky I didn't go as far as breaking a bone or something. You'd have had to play nurse to placate me."

"You mean like roleplay?" My breathing faltered and the nerves in my dick came alive.

I chuckled. "That was not what I was inferring, but that would work just fine too." She threw her head back in laughter and burrowed deeper into the seat. A thought came to me suddenly. "After the night at my parents' house, I hope Amber hasn't been making things difficult for you?" Cos that would make me super mad. Sky deserved the best and I'd deal gruesomely with anyone who thought otherwise. Even if they were my childhood friend who I'd basically spent all my life with.

"Nah. She did give me one extra client even though my schedule is practically bursting at the seams but I can deal with that." She sneered condescendingly. "It would take way more one extra client to rattle me."

I cracked a smile at her bragging. "No wonder you keep bagging Employee Of The Year, you are worth your salt. But if you want me to get the client transferred, you should tell me. Amanda can arrange that by Monday morning."

She shook her head vehemently. "And let Amber gloat about it?" She wagged her index finger at me. "Hell nah, I'm fine with the extra client."

I parked at my house and killed the engine. "So you wanna head up?"

"Nope. I came all the way from the office to sleep in a damn car." That sent me into fits of laughter and her lips twitched. "Man, take me upstairs."

"Yes, ma'am." We both got out of the car and I led her to the entrance door. The doorman gave me the keys Thomas had dropped for me as I'd requested. The doorman looked at the woman on my arm and greeted her.

"Hello, Miss. Do have a good night sleep." I caught the sly smile on the old man's face and thought of slapping it out. Stupid motherfucker.

I pressed the code for my penthouse at the lobby and headed towards the elevator with Sky. "This place looks really nice. I haven't been here since -" She cut herself off and scurried into the elevator, making me grin like a predator as I went after her.

It was just the both of us in the metal room and my penthouse was all the way up so I pulled her to myself till our bodies were flushed against each other.
