This one's a little shorter than our usual. It's a filler chapter. The next one will be coming in real soon.
I breezed into the building of WeCare Inc as I always did, the only difference was that I wasn't alone. My father, who was the founder, was present. Tio Carlos and José were also present, and I already knew it was going to be a fucking long day, and possibly a longer night.
My family was hosting a special dinner with existing and potential investors of all our companies. That included the one José managed, mine and the others still under the sole control of my dad and Tio Carlos. So yeah, it was a very crucial dinner/ meeting and I was sweating buckets just thinking about it.
José however was not so bothered. He'd done it last year and according to him, it was a bore since Dad didn't even let him contribute once. I had an inkling it was because my father didn't trust what would come out of his goofy son's mouth (I wouldn't either), but my case was different. My dad loved to push me out there cos he felt I always knew what to say. So I couldn't afford to take Jose's approach and make a fool out of myself and my company during the dinner tonight.
Whenever the receptionist saw me, her eyes always darted around like she was contemplating running away. However, when she saw my father, she looked like she'd rather disappear into thin air. Poof! Just like that, and I didn't blame her. My father didn't have the most friendly demeanour, definitely not the most welcoming face. He was handsome undoubtedly, the spitting image of José. No wonder they shared the same name. He was slightly shorter than I was though, standing tall at 6 foot. All those things added to his hostile and unapproachable front.
We entered the elevator and started the journey to the top floor, Dad and Tio Carlos discussing in Spanish about some business related shit while I and José exchanged bored glances at each other. My brother didn't even have any reason to be in WeCare this morning but Dad just loved having his first and favorite son in his entourage everytime. The only time José was free from his clutches was whenever my dad was out of the country. Maturity was realizing not being his favorite son was actually a blessing.
My eyes instinctively zeroed on Sky's office floor button in the elevator. As if on cue, the elevator doors opened as we got to her floor and I almost swallowed my tongue when I saw she was the one standing at the other side of the doors. Her midi, bodycon dress wrapped around her curvy body like a snake about to kill its prey. Despite the other people present, it felt like we were the only ones present and I felt a stirring in my groin. Would there ever be a time when I wouldn't get an erection from her presence? I seriously doubted.
Her face as she recognized my father was nervous. Even though she tried to keep it under wraps, it was still there and I had the insane urge to kiss that frown away till she sighed in my mouth. Her eyes flitted across the elevator and settled on me, a ghost of a smile painting her beautiful lips. Did I mention it was glossy? Cos it was. Similar to how it was after sucking my dick on Friday night. God, I shouldn't be thinking about sex on a Monday morning but here I was.
She quickly walked into the elevator and greeted everyone politely before pressing the floor she wanted to go to. Human Resources floor. I glanced at her, what did she need to go there for?
I could feel Jose's stare burning into my skin and sure enough, he was looking at me with a goofy grin when I turned to him. I sent him a death threat with my eyes and only looked away when my father cleared his throat.
"You are the lady who's always awarded with Employee Of The Year, aren't you?" She nodded slowly to my father's enquiry and my brows cocked with interest. What was he digging at? "Please, remind me your name young lady." He rarely told anyone Please but I guess Sky was a stranger to him, so she could enjoy certain benefits I'd only dream of.
