Ch.5 Nan

Everyone in their hiding spot watched as Dr. Bumby walked in and closed the door. He then went over to his desk and sat down, not knowing that Bunny was hiding under his desk, she tried to scoot away from his legs, but there was no room. Dr. Bumby then took out a map.

"Where is she?" he asked himself frustrated.

Alistair, who was hiding behind a shelf, looked for a way to escape, but with Dr. Bumby here, he was harder to get out. Dr. Bumby then opened the notebook and began to write in it, Alistair tried to see what he was writing, but Bumby's arm was in the way. He continued to write some more when someone called his name. He got up and went out of the room. Everyone then went out of their hiding spots.

"That was close" Bunny said.

Alistair looked opened the door and looked out to make sure he was gone.

"Ok he's gone" he said "Let's get out of here".

They all went out and walked down the hall, but when they turned around a corner, Alistair bumped in Dr. Bumby!

"Hey!" Bumby yelled as everyone ran from him.

"Get back here!" he ordered as he went after them.

They quickly ran downstairs being careful not to slip. But just as Cari opened the door, Alistair didn't noticed that his school I.D had fallen out of his pocket. Everyone just ran out and down the streets. But Dr. Bumby had found the I.D, he picked it up and read it.

"Alistair Wonderland, son of Alice. At Ever After High?" he read "Alistair Wonderland eh? Son of Alice".

He looked down the street to see if he can still see the Wonderlandians, but they were all gone. He placed the I.D in his pocket and went back inside, thinking of a way to get them.

The gang ran down a street until they came to a stop near a building.

"Now what?" Maddie asked as they all tried to catch their breaths.

"Well he probably doesn't know who we are" Alistair said "He must of thought we were just some naughty kids who broke into his office".

"Um, isn't that what were are?" Tony asked.

Alistair sighed as then put his hands in his pocket, but he found that his I.D wasn't there.

"Guys" he said "Has anyone seen my I.D?"

They all said no.

"Did it fall out?" Lizzie asked.

"I think" he said "I remember I had it when we arrived here".

"I think I saw it fall out of your pocket when we were running out the door" Tammy said.

"What?!" he gasped.

"I didn't know it was your I.D" Tammy said.

"Oh man" he said "You know what this means? Dr. Bumby could find it and know who were are! He could be looking for us!"

"Not right now" Kitty said, looking around to make sure he wasn't looking for them.

"Well what do we do now?" Maddie asked.

Dinah then appeared.

"Dinah" Alistair said "Do you know what we can do?"

She walked away and they all followed. Dinah led them to a pub that looked a bit burnt.

"Mangled Mermaid" Dina read the burnt sign that was a bit hard to read.

"Wait a minute" Alistair said "I thought my mom said that this place burned down".

Everyone had a confused look. Alistair opened the door and everyone stepped in. The place didn't looked burnt like outside, the tables, chairs and bar looked old. Just then a lady wearing a pink dress came down the stairs. (Pic of her)

"Ah, it's the Wonderland kids!" the exclaimed as she went to them, they saw that she had a tattoo of an anchor on her right breast.

"It's a pleasure to finally meets you all" she smiled.

"Um, who are you and how do you know us?" Lizzie asked.

"Oh, well I'm Nan Sharpe, Alice's old nanny, but you can call me Nan".

"Oh I've heard about you" Alistair said.

"You must be Alistair" she said "Alice's son".

He smiled and nodded.

"Well look how handsome you've grown" she pinched his cheeks.

She let go and he rubbed his cheeks, Nan then met the others.

"You must be Elizabeth Hearts" Nan said to Lizzie "Princess of Wonderland".

"Yes I am" Lizzie smiled.

"You have the same name of Alice's sister. Oh she was a good girl, poor thing died in the fire with her parents".

"We know".

"And you must be Katy" Nan said to Kitty.

"It's Kitty" Kitty corrected.

"Oh sorry".

"So how do you know us?" Bunny asked.

"Alice visits me every once in a while" Nan said "She told me lots about you guys".

"Well Nan" Alistair said "You know that Dr. Bumby is back?"

"Oh I know" Nan frowned "I don't know how he's back, and he keeps asking me where's Alice, but I tell him that I don't know".

"Well he's looking for us too" Maddie added.

"Oh dear".

Dinah then jumped on a table near Nan and meowed.

"What is it Dinah dear?" Nan asked to the cat.

"You can see her?" Cari asked.

"Of course" Nan said "I know she's dead, but I can still see her. And she told me that I should let you guys stay here until you settle the problem".

"Really?" Kitty said.

"Oh sure, in fact, if that Bumby ever comes here to look for you, I know a place you can hide".

"Oh, well thank you Nan" Alistair smiled.

"In the meantime, you all must be hungry, I'll cook up some dinner".

She then headed towards the kitchen.

"Oh, I love your hat Kelly" she said to Kitty as she went into the kitchen.

"Is she ever going to get my name right?" Kitty asked annoyed.

Back at the Houndsditch Home, Dr. Bumby sat at his desk and looked at Alistair's I.D.

"What is this Ever After High?" he asked himself "And where are those kids now?"

He looked at the map to try and locate where they were. He then looked at where the Mangled Mermaid was located.

"I'll try there" he said.

He then looked at the I.D again.

"I will get my revenge Alice" he said "Soon".
