Ch.18 Defeated

Alice and Alistair ran from the asylum and to where the gang were. Maddie was still laying on the ground with her hands on her broken rib cage.

"Alice, Alistair!" Kitty gasped "You guys made it. Alice what happened to you?" she noticed Alice's injuries.

"No time to explain" Alice said as she went to Maddie "Alistair, the dust".

Alistair gave his mom the fairy dust.

"What is that?" Bunny asked.

"Fairy dust" Alice said "I got it from Neverland, this kind can heal any injury".

Alice then opened the bottle and sprinkled some onto Maddie. The dust then began to shimmer like the sun and disappeared. Maddie felt her rib cage heal, and the pain decreased. 

"Maddie" Alice said "How do you feel?"

"Healed" Maddie smiled as she began to get up "My rib cage is fixed".

Maddie was able to stand up without any pain "You saved me".

"Well that's what I do" Alice smiled.

"Thank you" Maddie smiled.

"Group hug everyone!" Tammy exclaimed as they all gave Maddie a group hug.

"Hold on" Maddie said as she turned to Alistair "What happened to Dr. Bumby?"

"Oh" Alistair said, remembering the fireworks "Well, I actually don't know, but we have to find him".

"What?" Alice said.

"We just need to find him, I'll explain why later".

"Well in that case" Alice said "I think I saw him fall into the train station".

"Well come on" Alistair said as everyone ran to the train station.

The station had some burnt fireworks near the tracks.

"Well where is he?" Kitty asked.

"I don't know" Alistair said "But we need to find him".

"How come?" Alice asked.

"Well I found out how he came back. Remember when you pushed him into an incoming train that killed him?"

"Yeah" Alice said.

"Well that wasn't the best way to get rid of him, the best way is to kill him through his heart. Also, after you killed him, did you get haunted by his spirit?"

"Yes, but I trapped it in a bottle".

"And that bottle was opened letting his spirit out, which cause him to come back".

"So the only way to get rid of him for good is to stab him through the heart?" Alice asked.

"Yeah, I know it's kinda weird, but it has to work".

But everyone didn't see Dr. Bumby coming up from the tracks, he had burnt marks all over him from the fireworks and was still holding onto the Vorpal blade. He then noticed the gang, and that none of them noticed him. He saw Alistair with his back towards him, he looked at the Vorpal blade in his hand, he knew what he had to do so Alice could suffer. He got up and held up the knife and ran towards Alistair. Alistair turned around and saw Bumby holding up the knife getting ready to stab him. But Alice acted quickly and grabbed Bumby by his shoulders and pulled him away from Alistair, she tried to hold onto him, but he then used the knife to stab Alice in the stomach!

"Mom!" Alistair gasped as Alice grabbed onto the knife handle and fell to her knees.

"Looks like I've got what I wanted" Bumby scowled at Alice who was suffering from the knife in her stomach.
