That night, when everyone was asleep, Alistair was having another nightmare. In his nightmare, he was in an asylum and was strapped onto a bed in a room. A doctor and a nurse stood next to him holding jars filled with leeches. The nurse then started to put the leeches on his arms, and the leeches began to suck his blood. He tried to move but the straps held him tight.
"The lad is just like his mother" the nurse said "Always talking about this Wonderland nonsense".
"I suppose he should get some more, treatment" the doctor said.
"I'm on it" the nurse said as she pulled out a syringe needle.
Alistair struggled to move, but just as the nurse stuck the needle into his arm, he woke up with a shriek. He found that he was still in the bed Nan provided him.
"Alistair?" Maddie said as she opened the door "You ok?"
"Yeah what happened?" Lizzie asked as they walked in "Did you have another nightmare?"
"I did actually" he said as he told them his nightmare.
"Oh dear" Lizzie said "Why do you keep having these nightmares?"
"I don't know".
"Well, why don't you come down for breakfast now?" Maddie suggested.
During breakfast, Alistair told everyone about the nightmare.
"Yikes" Dina gasped.
"You know Alice used to have nightmares like that" Nan said "It drove her crazy".
"But I don't know why I'm getting them" Alistair said.
"You know I learned that dreams have meanings to your life" Cari said "Like in your dream, you were in an asylum, dreams about being in an asylum means that you're feeling like you're in some kind of mental madness and are trying to seek help".
"Is that true Alistair?" Maddie asked.
"I-I don't know" he said as he thought about it.
"As for the leeches in your dream" Cari added "You say the nurse put leeches on your arms and they were sucking your blood, well the leeches symbolizes some kind of problem in your life that's sucking you out of your vitality".
"Huh?" everyone said.
Cari sighed "It means that you have a problem that you can't get out of your head".
"Now that I think of it" Alistair said "The problem that's sucking me out would have to be about a how Dr. Bumby came back. It's been in my mind all night".
"Well I learned that dreams can stop if you solve the problem" Cari said.
"So in order for me to stop having these nightmares, I have to solve the problem?" Alistair asked "But, I don't know how".
"We all don't know how" Lizzie said "But we have to find a solution to this before things turn bad".
"Hold on" Kitty said "Alistair, yesterday when you were talking to Alice, did she tell you how to get back to Ever After?"
"Well, no actually, we were interrupted by that Jack guy coming in".
"Well try calling her now" she suggested.
"Good idea Kassandra" Nan said as she dialed the number on the wall phone and gave the ear piece to Alistair.
"Mom" he said when Alice picked up.
"Alistair?" Alice said.
"Yeah it's me. So yesterday, you never told me about how you come here and how you go back".
"Oh right, so I go to London and come back the same way, through the looking glass".
"The looking glass?"
"Yeah, so you know the looking glass in my house right? Well I go through that to get to London, but to go back I go through a looking glass that I always have with me".
"What?"
"I carry this mini mirror with me, but when I put it on the ground, it enlarges to a full size looking glass that I go through to go back to Wonderland".
"But, we don't have a mini looking glass".
"I know, so that's why I'm gonna try to come to London and use the looking glass to get you guys back to Ever After".
"Really?"
"Yeah, but it may take a while cause I'm kinda busy right now".
In Wonderland, Alice was in the Queen of Hearts croquet yard, the queen was playing croquet while Alice was sitting on the bench with her flamingo.
"Your turn Alice!" the queen yelled, as always.
"Hey I gotta go" Alice to Alistair "I'll try to come as fast as I can".
After they hung up, Alice got her flamingo and went up to take her turn. The queen looked at her with a stern look. Alice knew the rules, the queen always wins, but she barely listens to that rule. Even though the queen would yell "Off with her head!" many times, no one wanted to hurt Alice, neither did the queen. She's gotten used to Alice's popularity, but there are times when the heroine would get on her nerves.
"So what's this mini looking glass?" Bunny asked Alistair after he hung up the phone.
"My mom has this mini mirror that can enlarge to a looking glass" he explained "She uses it to go back to Wonderland. She says she's gonna try to come here and get us back to Ever After".
"Oh thank goodness" they all sighed in relief.
"But it may take a while cause she's busy".
Everyone groaned.
"So in the meantime, I think we should find a way to stop Dr. Bumby before he find us".
"And to find out how he's back" Maddie added.
"Yes".
"So what are we gonna do now?" Tammy asked.
"I think we should walk around this place and try to find a secret or 2 about Dr. Bumby, and maybe my mother".
"But what if Dr. Bumby catches us?" Bunny asked.
"Oh man, I didn't of that".
"Well I think we should go anyway" Lizzie said "And if we do run into him, we know how to handle him".
"She's right" Kitty said "I mean, we've battled many monsters before, so we can handle him, it's not like he has any powers or something, right?"
"Well, I guess you're right" Alistair said.
"Here, let me give you a map" Nan said as she handed Alistair a map of London.
"Thank you Nan" Alistair said.
"Good luck" she smiled.
