I KICKED MY feet up as Rick drove the car. For the most part, we were both silent. He'd focus on driving, I'm just fiddling with the rubber hand in my hands.

"Today's the day." Rick chimes.

"Uh-huh." I agree, nodding my head.

"We're gonna find food, maybe some people." He adds. "The law of averages has gotta catch up." I scrunch my face up, shaking my head at his words.

"I don't know." I shrug. "We ain't seen nobody for weeks." I point out. "Maybe we ain't gonna find nobody. Maybe that's a good thing." I turn my head to the sound of shuffling. I see Rick pulling out a disc, knowing exactly which one it is.

"Don't." I beg. "Don't. Please don't." He sticks the disc into the radio and it begins playing. Rick turns the knob, turning the volume up to max. I held a glare with him as he begins snapping his fingers to the beat of the song.

"Draws 'em away from home!" He shouts over the music. I nodded my head, knowing he's got a point. But he could've picked any other disc than this one.

I look out the window, watching everything pass by. We drive through a four way intersection. I noticed something on the road to the right of us. I lean up and noticed it was some sort of barn.

"Hey, hold up." I point to Rick. He slows the car down and throws it in reverse. He finally turns the wheel and we drive off down the road, pulling into the driveway of this building. We climbed out of the car and look around, seeing a large garage door with the word 'SORGHUM' painted in black letters.

We break it open and look around, waiting for any walkers or inside or even people hiding. Clear.

"Yeah, we're good." Rick nods. I approach the large truck. I unlatch everything and push the door up. I take a step back, seeing a bunch of things stacked to te top of the truck.

"Well, how about that?" Rick asks. I climb up on the truck, pulling a box of toothpaste. "The law of averages."

"Yep." I nod. I step down as Rick steps up onto the truck.

"Let's get this thing goin, grab our gear, come back for the car later. Take another way back. See what we can see." He lays out.

"Think it'll start?" I ask him.

"Yeah, I do." He nods. I reach up and grab the strap, prepping to pull the door down. "Sorghum." He lightly chuckles, as I jump down from the truck and shutting the door.

We drive down the road and spotted a gas station. Rick pulls the truck into the lot and kills the engine. We climbed out and walk over to the doors. I pull on the handle, only to find it locked. I turn away, walking for the side of the building. I spotted a turned over vending machine.

"Yo, give me a hand with this." I call to Rick. He joins my side and we try pushing it over. With the weight of it, we weren't able to flip it over with our bodies. I take a few steps back, trying to think of a way to flip it. My eyes thought of chains and the truck.

"I got an idea." I inform him. I walk over to the truck, retrieving the chains. We tip the machine over, attaching everything together. Finally, i drag the chains to the truck, hooking it to the hitch. Rick climbs in the truck, starts the engine and slowly presses on the gas. I waved my hand forward, signaling for him to keep going til the vending machine flipped over on it's side. I whistle out to him, calling for him to stop. Rick kills the engine and climbs out. I lean on my knees, looking inside the machine of what's inside of it. Chips, candy, soda, energy drinks. Bout empty, but there's enough to bring back either way.
