IT HAD BEEN a few hours since everyone disappeared. Haven't heard from anybody. Maggie and I have been busting our asses getting everything prepped and stocked. Which, we did successfully. Maggie ended up going off to take a nap for an hour or so. When we happened to pass by each other, she had asked me to fetch Enid for her.

"Hey, Enid. Maggie needs you." I inform her. She throws me a small frown.

"Is everything okay?" She asks me.

"Yeah, everything's fine. Why wouldn't it be?" I ask her.

"Just...feels like something else is gonna drop." She shrugs. I look up at the sky, nodding my head.

"Yeah, I've been having that feeling a lot lately." I say. We walk together, heading over to Maggie's place.

"So...is it over? Between you and Daryl?" Enid asks. I could feel my brows pulling together.

"Uh, I don't know. It's kinda hard to say." I shrug at her question. "I mean, we've gotten into some disagreements and fights before, but this one just feels a bit different."

"What's the cause of it?" She asks. I glance down at her.

"Uh, just...he did something he thought was right, but I disagree." I shrug.

"Did it have something to do with fighting the Saviors?" She asks me. "I can tell you two have been different ever since you guys got back from the Hilltop." She says.

"Maybe. But that's just...it's fine. Everything will be fine." I wave it off.

"Is that what you know or believe in?" She asks me. I let out a sigh as we approached Maggie's door.

"I hope so." I shake my head. I raised a fist to the door and knocked. We could see Maggie approaching the door through the sheer curtains.

"Hey, you needed me?" Enid asks Maggie. Maggie smiles and hands Enid a pair of scissors.

"I need some more help." Maggie explains. We all enter inside the house and sat down in the kitchen. Enid grabs Maggie's brush and brushes her hair out, asking Maggie how short she'd want her hair. Enid begins snipping away.

Enid snipped the last few strands of Maggie's hair and sets the scissors down on the table. Maggie reaches for the hand mirror and brings it up to her face, turning her head to look at different angles of her hair. It definitely reminded me of meeting Maggie for the first time, way back then on the farm when Carl was shot.

"I like it." Enid calls behind Maggie. "But why?" She asks. Maggie smiles, pushing her hair around.

"I have to keep going." Maggie explains. "And I don't want anything getting in my way." I lightly nudge her arm.

"Just like the good ole days, huh?" I smile down at her.

"I oddly miss those..." Maggie let's out a sigh and lowers the mirror. She begins to breathe heavy, her eyes slowly closing.

"Maggie?" I call, grabbing her shoulder.

"D-Did I cut too short?" Enid asks.

"No, it's not that." Maggie shakes her head. Maggie drops the mirror and her hands clutch around her abdomen. She shouts in pain and pulls herself down to the floor, screaming more and beginning to sob. I drop down to my knees, holding onto Maggie.

"Enid, go find some help and hurry!" I call. Enid rushes out of the house. "Hey, Maggie, tell me where it hurts." I call.

"M-My stomach. It's my...it's like cramps. Intense cramping in my uterus." She sobs.
