When fourth grade year started I was so happy because I wasn't going to be in a class with Shawn. But, little did I know this was going to be another bad year. Well, the reason this was such a bad year was because the best friend drama kicked in. Everyone knows that in any school there are always cliques ( groups of best friends who never hang out with nobody but that group.) In my school I was in a clique. It was Lovelee, Zaria, Dena, Acadia, and I. There was lots of problems with us going through the school year. But it wasn't like that at first. At first we sat by each other in every class, our lockers were right next to each other, and we all sat next to each other at lunch. It was perfect ( or so we thought it was.)
In second semester our friendship took a turn for the worst. There was a new student named Jendayi. Jendayi and I soon became best friends. But the rest of them didn't like Jendayi. Jendayi had a really (lets call it special) personality. Jendayi would get mad rather quickly and roll her eyes and things like that, but inside she was a really sweet person. Others didn't see her as a sweet person, they saw her as a disgusting and rude person. So she was bullied for that and since I was her friend I was bullied also. Of course my clique had a problem with me being bullied and not because I was their best friend, but because since we were best friends they would get bullied too. So they stopped being my friend EXCEPT Zaria.
Zaria told me everything and I told her everything. Zaria's mother had just had a baby. Zaria had two other siblings (brothers) plus the new born baby (girl) AND Zaria was the oldest. So Zaria's mother didn't have much time for Zaria. Most days Zaria would come to school late and VERY hungry. Zaria only ever had her uniform cleaned once every two weeks. I was the one that always stood up for her when the rest of the clique was rude to her. Lots of them thought she was a whining begger, but they didn't know what she had gone through.
The next horrible thing that happened was Lovelee left the clique (or what was left of it) and she went to be friends with Rebecca. Soon the only ones left were Acadia and Dena. Dena and Lovelee were closer then the rest of us (like Zaria and I), so of course Dena followed Lovelee. Acadia gave a sincere apology and joined my group. At the end of the semester we had all pretty much grown apart though. Jendayi was moving to Austin because of her moms job, Zaria was going to live with her grandma for a little while, Acadia failed the grade, and Lovelee was going to be in a different class. And guess whose class I was going to be in SHAWN'S..... to be continued.
