Eight months later-
"You're taking forever!" Riker recited, I guess it was his favorite phrase when it came to me.
"You try to carry nine months worth of baby and you tell me how easy it is," I sassed, coming down the steps carefully.
No, I haven't moved out of my house. My dad and I don't have a great connection, but we're working on it.
Right now, we're going to the hospital because the baby is due today and I haven't had one contraction.
"That baby's going to be ten months if you don't hurry up." Once I stepped down onto the floor, I glared at Riker.
"You know what, Riker? I hope whenever you and Maddie have a baby that she's worse than me and your child comes out being a demon," I voiced, waddling to the kitchen to get a bottle of water.
"We don't have time for you to drink water, Penguin," Riker groaned, taking me by the hand.
"Oh yeah, whoops." I got loaded up into the car and we were on our way.
Riker pulled over at a local gas station and started to get out.
"What are you doing?!" I barked, watching him get out.
"I'm getting gas," he confirmed.
"We don't have time to get gas," I mocked.
Riker coughed out a laugh, and went to go get gas.
"So, are you excited to meet the little one?" Maddie squealed, squeezing both sides of her seat in excitement.
"Yeah," I giggled. "It needs to come out!"
After Riker got back into the car, we left to go to the hospital.

Ellington's POV:
"So, what are you planning to do today?" My mom asked me, the same sour expression she's worn on her face for about a year.
"Eh, probably just stay here," I shrugged, making it obvious that I won't be getting out of this bed anytime soon.
"Ellington, you've been stuck in this bed for the past two weeks. Get out of this house!" Mom commanded, pushing me out of bed.
"Ugh! Alright," I groaned. I went to the bathroom and took a shower.
I was thinking about the many things that I could do today. Hm. . .
• I could fly to Paris.
• I should really go visit Callie, haven't talked to her in a while.
• I could go back to bed and sleep.
My last option was the one that out ruled all of my choices. But Mom told me to get out of the house and I can't fly to Paris. I guess I will go see Callie.
We still date, but I've been distancing myself from everyone.
I pulled on my shoes and left.
I pulled up at Callie's house and got out. There were two vehicles that were parallel to each other outside of her garage. I shrugged it off and walked to her front door.
I knocked two times before a male shaped figure opened the door. "Can I help you?" He asked.
Callie ran into the scene not long after, wearing only a long t-shirt and got in between me and the guy.
"Callie, why is Luke Hemmings in your freaking house?!" I screamed, taking all of my anger that was quickly built up out on her. (Luke Hemmings, haha .. Whoops 😏🌚)
"He's an old friend from Australia," Callie mumbled.
"Oh, okay. You're friends? I see," I observed. "Since when have friends opened the door in their boxers to someone's boyfriend?!" I screamed, not making total sense of my words.
"Oh. . . Haha," Callie sarcastically giggled. "We were just playing a game. . ?"
"Did it happen to be called, Build-A-Baby?"
"Speak for yourself!"
"What's that supposed to me?"
"Oh, come on, Ellington. We all know that Rydel's pregnant with your baby. Don't pull that shit on me!" Callie screamed. I rolled my eyes,
"Whatever," I huffed. "Don't call me, text me, or even think about me again. We're done."
"I've already got a head start," Callie called. "Your number no longer exists in my phone. And from this point forward, we don't even know each other!"
I got into my car and backed up. I drove away and was about to turn at a stop sign when my phone blared my ringtone.
"Hello?" I asked, not paying attention to who called.
"Hey, Ell," Stormie's cheery voice echoed.
"Oh, hey Stormie."
"I was calling to tell you that Rydel had the baby," she said and hung up.
I didn't know what hospital she would be at, but I took the advice of my conscience and let my car guide it's way.

Rydel's POV:
She's here, my baby. The little human I carried for nine months inside of me. She's here.
The nurse came in, handing me the soft, pink baby. I looked at the little whisks of brown hair, and you could tell that she was Ellington's daughter.
"Miss Rydel," the nurse called. I looked at her with a smile. "You've got a visitor."
The nurse didn't have time for me to answer before my door swung open and Ellington bursted through the door.
"Ellington," I whispered. I hadn't talked to him in months, and right now, I didn't think I wanted to talk to him.
"Rydel, just listen," Ellington said. If anyone was in the room right now, he'd be interrupting their speech. "Look, I was stupid. Okay? I want to be in the baby's life. I didn't think I wanted to be a father at the time, but as soon as I was thinking about it, I knew I wanted to. I couldn't talk to you because you were mad and probably crying. I hate seeing you cry, especially when I know I've caused it. I love you, alright? I said it. I love you. I've loved you from the minute I saw you at The Rage. I've loved you for nine years. And I want to love you for many more. Just please, give me a chance. I want to be in yours and our baby's life."
"Ell, I don't know."
"Please," Ellington begged. He looked really sincere, but I didn't know if I could believe him.
"I-I, I don't know, Ellington," I repeated.
Ellington came over and crashed his lips onto mine, and I felt everything in the world disappear. As if it were just us two.
"Please," he whispered. Tears were in his eyes.
"Okay, Ellington," I sighed.
Ellington looked down at the tiny bundle that wiggled in her sleep.
"She's yours, Ellington," I informed.
"No, she's ours," Ellington corrected.
"You're right," I giggled. "I never fully introduced you two."
Ellington took her from my arms and I saw a tear escape his eye.
"She's beautiful."
"She's our little miracle," I smiled. "She's Avery Kate Ratliff."
