Bright clears his throat, "We should continue our search." he says.

I pull away from the hug and look away awkwardly. Why did I do such a thing?

"The morning sunlight will come through the windows any second now. If the zombies in the corridors see us, it'll be bad. So we better hurry and gather as much information as we can."

We inspect the first cupboard by the entrance in the pitch darkness.

"Wait. Why don't we check the computers first? They might have the research information because they were doing it while hell broke loose. Right?" I ask Bright.

"Then we have to switch on the electricity again," he says.

"Yeah. But we have no choice. We need the electricity."

Bright thinks for a while and takes out the walkie-talkie.

"Are you guys safe? Over," he says to the walkie-talkie.

A reply comes from Film after a while, "Yes. What about you? Over."

"Same here. Win assumes the research and lab reports might be in the computer system. So we need electricity. Over."

"Oh. What do we do? If we get electricity, we won't be able to move. Over."

"We managed to trap the zombies in a room. Can't you try a trick? Over."

"We can do the same. But what about switching on the electricity? Who will do that? Over."

"I'll handle it. Talk when you are done dealing with your laboratory zombies. Over."

"Okay. Over."

Bright turns to me, "We'll find a hiding spot for now. Once they are done dealing with the zombies, I'll turn on the electricity."

"But it'll be morning by then," I say.

"I am a zombie, remember? I'll be fine." Bright says with a short laugh.

He takes my hand as I am blind as hell in the darkness, and we walk around the laboratory. While we are searching for a spot to hide, I see a little bit of sunlight coming through the windows. Bright takes me to another room that's at the very end of the laboratory. We walk inside, and he closes the door behind us.

Finally, we have a barrier between the zombies and us.

We sit and lie on the floor and groan at the feeling of our backbones resting after a long day of crawling and running. I look at Bright, who has his head resting next to me. We fall into comfortable silence until something struck my mind.
