I wait for the electricity to go off

I wait for the electricity to go off. When it does, I find myself in a blindly dark room. I wait for Bright to come back and fetch me. He comes after a while with the door flinging open. And I quickly walk out of the room with him.

We start searching where we left off the day before. We search through every file for a clue regarding the file's password. An hour into the search Bright sits on a chair for rest and dozes off to sleep after a while. I wake him up and ask him to sleep on the floor as he might get neck pain from sleeping on the chair. I find some lab coats in a cupboard and make a small pillow for him. I let Bright sleep there and search through files for three hours.

As I get tired, I take the walkie-talkie and contact the ones in the other lab.

"I am Win here. Over."

"Hi, Win. It's Nani here. Over." Nani replies.

"What are you guys doing? I searched for a clue about the password but still had no luck. Bright went to sleep as he was tired. Over."

"Film and Joss are asleep too. I am looking through some files. I found more pictures of the victims and pictures of bite marks from the victims. Over."

"Keep them safe. I doubt they'll be important in the future. Over."

"Roger that. Over."

Once the conversation is over, I lie next to Bright. I turn to face him while in my thoughts. It has been pretty tough ever since I came to Cargo. Fear hasn't left me even for a second. Now that I've created a bond with this stranger, I am so scared.

I take his injured arm and examine it in the dark. I am scared he might get infected any time now. This is the same reason I didn't want to create any bond in this mission. If he becomes a zombie, it will be hard for me. I won't be able to bear seeing him as a blood-sucking monster.

He's a nice person.

"What now? Do you think I am more handsome?" Bright's sleepy voice asks.

"Oh. I am sorry. Did I wake you up?" I ask.

"No. Answer my question first."

"Come on. It's an ultimate truth that you are handsome, no doubt."

"Pfft... haha. Do you want me to compliment you?" he asks.

"Aww, no. Compliments don't happen that way as owing. It happens through heartfelt feelings." I say dramatically.

"Alright. So I am saying this through my heartfelt feelings, Win. You quick-witted."

"Whaat? I have been dumb and clumsy all this time, and you call that quick-witted?" I ask with a scoff.

"I am serious. You are more quick-witted than you think."
