They tell you to leave
They ask, why stay if it hurts you?
You deserve better, they say
But people often forget one thing that is the core of it all
The love
They forget that it's a person with whom you share a story with
A person who chose you as much as you chose them
A person whom you love, a person who loves you back
As much as it hurts
As much as there is pain
There are also these fleeting moments of pure epiphany, where all that remains are both of your souls
Entangled
You were my light
I bathed in your sunshine and lay in our flower field
Now, I'm drowning
Slowly letting the water consume me
Glimpses of light keeping me alive and hopeful
But that's what they remain
Glimpses
Of a past
Of a happiness that's slowly fading away
But I remain here
I remain breathing
For you, for us
I wonder love, how much time will pass until the air is cut out of my lungs?
Until I lay my final breath and succumb or shatter in a ray of light
But don't worry love I'll remain here
Because I believe in love, in you, in us
You know I used to believe that love conquers all
That if love remains all will be well and everything will get fixed
If you love me and I love you, everything wil eventually get its happy ending
Tell me love
Will this prove to be true?
