They entered. Immediately, Riley rushed over to the lump of ginger hair and black robes that was Ginny. She remembered that Ginny's mother, Mrs. Weasley, had helped her back at King's Cross. Though Ginny had never noticed, Riley wanted there to be a chance, that if it were to happen again, Ginny would be there to notice. Harry swiftly followed to save his best friend's little sister.

"Ginny, Ginny, wake up." Harry said.

Riley started shaking her awake, "Ginny, come on, Ginny, wake up. It's me, Riley. I'm a Ravenclaw. We have potions and charms together? I helped you lift Collin with the Leviosa spell." Riley smiled fondly at the memory of squealing Collin and clapping Professor Flitwick. She took out her wand, "Rennervate." Ginny stayed still.

"She won't wake." The two turned to find a black haired man of maybe sixteen leaning against a pillar. He was blurred around the edges, but Harry recognised him.

"Tom- Tom Riddle?"

Riley could tell they knew each other, but tried to converse with him, "W-what do you mean she won't wake. Sh-she's not d-dead, isn't she? Did you  k-kill her? Because if you did-" Riley gradually got more angry at him.

"Hush, dirty mudblood spawn. No, I did not kill the little blood traitor. She is alive." Tom spared Riley a sneer. No eye contact, as his eyes never left Harry's. "But only just."

Harry was surprised. He knew Tom was a Slytherin, but never thought he would be so cruel as to call someone a mudblood. And the distasteful way he said it...

"Are you a ghost?" Harry asked.

"A memory." He said proudly, "Preserved in a diary for fifty years."

Riley held back a laugh.

"Do you have anything to say, mudblood?" Tom said coldly.

"No, it's just- it makes sense. If you had been alive all these years, you would have died long ago. And your skin, it's just too pale to be healthy. You might have died from a disease, but your pride and Madam Pomfrey say otherwise. But seriously, Tom, you should have went outside more. Too much of a Vitamin-D deficiency can lead to ugliness and death, and you've already reached the first one." Riley continued, "In fact, I'm surprised that your memory even lasted for fifty years! You just seem too plain to be remembered!" Riley laughed.

(Why did I have so much joy writing that?)

Tom was infuriated, "Why you little-"

Harry decided to try and cool them down and picked up Ginny, "Listen, Tom, Riley, we've got to go. Imagine if what would happen if the basilisk came... "

Tom said bluntly, "It won't come unless its called on."

"Excuse me?" Harry said.

It dawned on her, "It's you. You were the one who's been releasing the attacks. You're the heir of Slytherin."

Tom clapped, "For a dirty little mudblood spawn, who doesn't know her place, you're certainly brighter than the blood traitor child."

Harry was taken aback, "B-but, Tom. You-you were the culprit? S-so, Hagrid got expelled for..."

Tom let out a cackle, "Good 'ole Rubus. He was never going to last long." He flashed a grin, "And neither will you."

Tom said something so quiet that Riley couldn't hear. But Harry did, and his face paled. There was a loud hiss.
