When Riley woke up, she found herself in the Hospital Wing. Beside her were Fawkes, Henry, Luna, and Madame Pomfrey. Luna seemed to be worried for the first time since Riley met her.
"W-what happened?" Riley felt slightly dizzy, but still pulled herself to sit up, with Madame Pomfrey telling her that it was no good.
Henry explained it to her, "You were stabbed by a basilisk tooth. Lockhart woke up briefly, and saw you were dragging him, so he stabbed you with a nearby tooth. Potter got all the credit for saving the Weasley girl. I don't think it was on purpose, as Potter isn't like that, but it was no use. Gryffindor won the cup."
Riley shook her head twice, "Wait, how long has it been? Hasn't it only been a few hours?"
Luna finally spoke, "Riles, it's been two weeks."
Two weeks? If it had been two weeks, then they would leave tomorrow.
Riley's face fell, "Where am I going to stay? The Grindles said I can't come back."
Luna smiled, "My dad said you can stay with us, if you'd like."
Riley returned the smile, saying, "That would be very nice. Thank you Luna."
Madame Pomfrey wiped her hands, and said, "Right, now that that's happened, GO. TO. SLEEP. Leave my patient alone. She was stabbed three times by a basilisk fang, and has only woke up. Lovegood, pack her bags for her, if you don't mind. Now, OUT!" She pushed them out of the Hospital Wing, leaving Riley alone.
Riley then decided that it would be a great time to go back to sleep. So she did.
