It was Christmas morning, and the Ravenclaw second-year girls dormitory woke up. There was only Luna and Riley, though, since Eleanor and Silena went home for Christmas.

Luna looked through her presents. One from her dad, one from Riley, and one from Tom at the Three Broomsticks, who was actually her god brother.

"Riley, thanks so much!" She tried on the pastel, multi-coloured woolen hat, before admiring the matching cardigan that Riley had gifted her.

"No problem, Luna." Luna carried on, looking at the small horse toy in a jar Tom had enchanted to gallop around, holding her dad's gift of owl themed glasses.

Riley got out of bed, prepared to get dressed, when she realised, at the foot of her bed, were THREE gifts, not two. One from Luna, one from Luna's dad, and one from?

She rushed to open them, carefully peeling back the paper. Luna had gotten her some more balls of yarn, and Luna's dad had gotten her a signed copy of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, one of her favourites. Then came the third. Too small to be a book, she decided. She checked on the outside for a note, as she got on the one from Luna's dad. No note found. She peeled back the paper, to find a black velvet box, small, in which would hold an engagement ring, but simply a bit larger.

She opened the box, to find such a magnificent sight.

A necklace, with locket. A chain of pure 24 karat gold, and the locket was the same, but white gold. At the centre of the oval shaped locket, was a black diamond, cut. The locket was engraved with the most beautiful of engravings. She opened the locket, and a note fell out. In the locket was a mirror on the right side, and on the left, a key, hung by a chain attached to the locket from the top (to be more clear, there is a compartment, with a chain attached, and the chain has a hook, hanging onto the handle of the key. The whole locket is three-quarters the size of her thumb, and the key half the size of her thumb). The chain was white gold, like the rest of the locket, and the key was normal gold. The key was beautiful, like one that would open the loveliest of things. Like the entrance to a fairy kingdom, or the most pretty of gardens.

She picked up the note. It said: Tap the mirror if you ever need help. The key can open any door. Rub the stone for healing or shielding. Use it to protect yourself. Always wear it. We wouldn't want what happened in the train to happen again, wouldn't we?

She froze. How did this person know what happened that day. She and Luna hadn't said anything. Maybe it was from the black figure, or whoever was behind it. They clearly had a good intention, helping them like that.

"Did you like my present, Riles?" Luna asked coming to see her, when she spotted the necklace.

She stopped, "Who gave you that?" she smirked, "A secret admirer, perhaps?"

Riley shrugged, "I'd be damned if I knew."

"It is pretty. I think you should wear it." Luna advised.

"I agree. What harm could it do?" Riley put on the necklace, hiding the locket underneath her cloak, "Now, come on. We wouldn't want to be those who miss the Christmas lunch, wouldn't we?"

"No, we wouldn't. Get your clothes, let us find the baths. A nice bath before lunch would do wonders for one's mind." Said Luna, taking her clothes.

Riley followed and the two girls left the dormitory.
