it's normal for akito to see you in their house like everyday since you've always come to fetch his older sister to go to school with you in the evening.

but not for today. he didn't saw a sight of you in the house, nor your voice. he doesn't even hear any of his sister's squeals or calls of your name. he was getting used to you coming over the house, and not to mention he's quite glad that you're around. the reason behind is that ena's getting less angrier.

and most importantly. she never make him the errand boy he usually was for her, because she always asks you to get things for her ever since you start dating, which is something he's relieved of.

both you and akito rarely talk. scratch that, it's more like ena never let you talk to him and the other way around. he doesn't know the reason behind it. but you're not an ignorant individual. you thought since the two are siblings, and sometimes siblings tend to share some likings, you're kind enough to also bought him his favorite food, which tends to be pancakes, just like ena's.

but now without you being around at the moment, he thinks that the worse had probably happen.

something must have happened between the both of you and her. well, who is he to question people's relationship. it's not like if he ask his sister she will answer anyway, so he pays no mind to it and just go on with his own day.

then it all start getting noisy. her usual tantrum starts after a week without you coming to their house. he's trying to get used to it again after a month of not hearing her getting all pissed off over something he thinks isn't worth to get angry for.

ending up with him thinking that you really did something wrong that made her like that again. and seems like you're not even reaching out to her either, and so does she.

so if neither sides won't reach out, he should probably do something about it.

and now here he is, standing in front of the gates of kamiyama high in the evening even though his study time in the school had past. but he's waiting for your arrival to explain the situation between you and her.

but now he's getting tired of waiting for you.

"oh lil' bro."

as if on queue, you showed up in front of him, holding a white box on your left. you greet him with your usual smile. at first he had a judgmental look on his face at the box which contains a tart.

there's a few possibilities he came up with when you show up with food.

1. you're going to bring the cake to school and eat it yourself.

2. you're going to give it to a friend of yours. but then he remembers ena telling him that you have no friends. so that's a no.

3. you're hooking up with other girls without ena knowing.

"what're you doing here? i thought school has ended for you?"

not wanting to sound rude by giving you the stare, he go on with the talk.

"yeah. i just want to talk to you."

"if it's about ena. then give this to her."

you hand him the white box and pat his shoulder. without saying any words you walk away from him, before he stops you.

"wait. why should i be the one who's giving it to her? you're her boyfriend right?"

you stop and look at him.

"before you suspect anything we didn't got into a fight. she just... wants a break from the relationship. i don't know for what reason, but im just hoping she'll reach out to me soon."

"pass me my message to her, lil' bro. she's not answering my texts and im getting worried." you said and wave at him before turning back to walk into the school building.

he longingly gaze at your figure slowly getting smaller and smaller before completely dissapearing from his sight, then look at the tart you gave.

seems like nothing happened to them. but why is she avoiding him...

he decided to shook the thought away and head back to his home.

akito knock on ena's door, waiting for a bit he received no response and just decides to barge in.

"don't you know how to knock?!"

"i did. here's something [name] get for you. also shouldn't you be getting ready for school? it's almost time and you're not getting ready." he asks while putting the box on the table. ena's still in her casual clothes despite the time telling it's almost her time to go to school.

"im not in the mood... and if i go, he's just going to distract me..."

he raises an eyebrow at this.

"what do you mean distract you?"

"it's nothing. get out."

"you know at first i thought the both of you got into a fight. because he's not coming to the house like he always did. but seems like nothing much happened. also, he's worried because you're not texting back."

she grits her teeth in annoyance when he start talking about you.

"don't mention anything about him. im trying to think. now get out."

he blinks for a moment before he left her room.

he take back what he said.

something happened to her, not you or the relationship. but for sure whatever she's doing is going to effect her relationship with you.

well, looking back at her reaction when he mentioned your name or anything about you, she just gets irritated and annoyed. he doesn't know what you did wrong that makes her like that.

in his perspective you've been nothing but a supportive boyfriend, the one who always look out for his partner and who is always there for her.

so...

what really happened?

he sighs.

"maybe i shouldn't be thinking much about it."
