it's no use at all.

ena can't focus doing her own things with her minds always occupied with the thought of you.

everytime she tries to draw, she'd always imagine you looking by her side. and you'll probably go;

wow you're so talented!

even though it was only a thin sketch. heck she could also imagine you saying that right before she even start.

or even;

you know, picasso's been silent lately when you were born.

that's because picasso died right before she was even born. that's what she wanted to say that time.

she'd cringe for her whole life hearing that sentence again by you. but she understood that you're saying all that words to her so she can have more confidence in herself.

even if it costs your pride and dignity to others.

right now she can even hear it. your constant compliments as you wrap your arms around her waist, completely interrupting her work-

wait.

that's why.

everytime she's trying to paint, you were always there, 'interupting' her. it's like as if you're trying to gain her attention. and when you succeed, you stop hugging her which left her craving for your hug even more, and that makes her stop whatever she's doing before just to get some time with you.

but for sure you're not doing that on purpose right?

she knows you're not some perv craving for a women's touch. just because you have zero friends doesn't mean you're doing it just to get her attention.

well, maybe zero friends is a bit too harsh. you did talk to someone, but that was only limited to school work group. you've never really consider them friends since they only talk to you about school matters. no sharing any conversation besides if it's about group projects.

then again, you kept doing that everytime. stopping her to improve. as if you want her to quit art and focus on both your relationship more.

guess this is what they mean by,

you'd give up on everything for love.

because she would rather spend her whole time with you than drawing to get other's validation, or even her father's.

it's like... as if she can't live without you.

why go beyond when you're the only one she needs?

but ena's a stubborn girl.

she doesn't like the way she's thinking right now. she doesn't want her life to depend on you. she can't live without anyone and her father to finally accepting that she's a talented artist.

knowing the fact that you're by her side, to 'ruin' her dream she's been working on. she feel angered for some obvious reason of course. her hands are sweating. confused, she doesn't know what to do with you. she can't always ignore your texts without any explanations.

but she doesn't have the guts to see you face to face after coming into the conclusion she thought about before.

and she doesn't have the courage to ask for a break up either.

for now the best solution to not see you is asking for a break. and she's glad she did it beforehand.

now all she needs to do is...

think of a way. a way where she can plan the break up where you won't feel hurt. but there's no way a break up in a relationship will go well without one side hurting after.

avoiding any contact with you is the best, for now.

no one knows what would happen if you found out the reason she doesn't want to see you.

a week after she told you about the break, at first you don't mind it since people need space some times of course. but that week, turn into weeks.

then a month. a month of ena not texting you back. you stopped checking on your direct message with her after she doesn't respond to your last message from a week ago.

you were questioning what did you do wrong to make her avoid you like that. you tried remembering the time where you did something wrong to her or made her upset. yet again you remember nothing that made her upset at you.

all you did was spoil her, giving her all the support nobody else could ever give her, and staying by her side when she went through a breakdown.

should i text her if she's having another breakdown...

looking through your phone. you kept staring to your phone screen, your chat box with her to be specific. contemplating whether you should text her again just in case anything happened.

"[name] please put your phone down. unless you find whatever you're looking in your phone is more interesting than my lesson."

indeed. nothing's interesting with math at all. finding out the cause of your girlfriend being distant to you is more important than math.

you remember. the amount of selfies ena has been posting had gradually increased these past weeks. of course you noticed that she always took a selfie of herself everytime she's stuck when drawing.

but when you got together with her, she would immediately go right at you, giving you the knowing look and you immediately get what she wants. she had stopped that behavior of posting her selfies whenever you're around.

so now you're concerned that she's back on doing it, instead of going to you. she's not reaching out to you either, which adds up to your worry ever more.

the school bell rings not long after. you took your bag to put it on your desk and look at it for a moment. deciding your choice.

you stood up quickly and went to her class, 2-d. you barge in and look around the class, not paying a mind to the look others are giving you. you huff in dissapointment when you found no sight of the brown haired in her class.

"if you're looking for shinonome, she's absent today. i thought you know it already since you're her boyfriend."

you click your tounge and stomp your way out of the school building.

there's no way you're going home without any explanations from her. you can't sleep well knowing your significant other's well being without you.
